my eyes opened as soon as the sound of glass breaking hit my eardrums. my breathing sped up and my heart raced as i looked around my bedroom for any signs of a intruder. when i saw that nothing was there my attention was driven towards downstairs. i slowly slipped one foot after another out from under my covers and onto the floor. then tip-toed my way to the door. i stood and thought for a minute if i should open the door and go downstairs or to just wait till what ever was down there was gone. i sighed as i soon decided i would have to go down. my hand gripped the knob tightly as i twisted it and as soon as i heard the low "click" of the door i took a deep breath. i opened the door slightly just enough to see the hallway my eyes ranged from the bathroom and over to the stairs. nothing.my breathing slowed but as i was about to open the door and go downstairs i saw a shadow moving closer and closer up the stairs. i had to cover my mouth from screaming and slowly pulled the door shut. i ran as quietly as i could to my bed and jumped under the covers.

i closed my eyes and laid as motionless as i could. i stayed that way for at least two or three minutes and thought i must of been seeing things. but then as soon as that thought popped in my mind i heard my door open. my body tingled as all i could feel was fear as i heard the thing walk closer and closer to my bed. and then... the night was silent again. i stayed laying that way in shock by what happened. so many things raced through my head. should i stay like this? is it still here? i had to find out! i peeked out from my covers and saw nothing there. i sighed with relief as i shoved the covers off my head. but as soon as i did a dark feeling of being watched came over me. i looked around my room again and found nothing. but suddenly there was warm breath running down my neck. i gasped as i turned around. there behind me was a man!the man was very pale but had short red hair. his eyes were silver in color. his cheekbones were low and had a very flawless shape. i stared at this man and thought.. how could someone look so perfect? as my eyes ran over him his red lips opened exposed pearling white teeth. "hello", he said in a deep velvet voice that seemed to fill me with lust. "h..hi...who are you", i asked struggling to talk. he smiled and laughed a devious laugh. "well i am sure you think i am beautiful but do you honestly think i am human" my smile turned to a frown. "what do you mean you aren't human" "i am.. i am the creature that has brought fear to all of your kind, the creature that roams the night sucking the life out of innocent...innocent..innocent MORTALS" my eyes widened. i jumped out of my bed and grabbed the crucifix on my wall. "stay back you demon", i yelled. he stood up and went into a crouch hissing and showing his pair of white fangs. "you wont win, you cant hold it up forever" , he threatened. my heart felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest as i held it up to my chest. my mind began to panic as i thought i would be standing here til morning. i looked at my door and skidded closer and closer to it but i kept the cross in between me and the creature. i opened the door and gave one last look at the creature. the i dropped the cross and ran out the room! i could hear as i ran down the stairs the sound of the man running out the room, slowly hissing as he ran past the cross. then halfway down the stairs a strong force pushed me and i lost my footing. i fell down the stairs head first and screamed as my head hit the bottom step. a grunt escaped my lips as i landed on my back. i could feal the warm scarlet liquid run from the back of my head. the man took my hair and pulled me up off the ground he slammed me up against the wall. then getting in my face he whispered,"you didn't truly believe you could outrun me, did you?" "please leave me alone", i sobbed. he smiled and took a deep breath. but just as he was about to say something he stopped and turned me around. his eyes ran hungrily down my body as he watched the blood trickle down my back. he turned me back around to look me dead in the eyes. his eyes weren't silver now they were pitch black! he started to breath heavily and then he cried out,"i can't take it anymore". i was confused as he bent his head down to my neck. his warm breath ran down my neck and sent chills down my back. i could feal when he opened his mouth and licked up the scarlet liquid from my neck. then i felt as his sharp teeth plunged deep into my throat!! i screamed in pain but then soon felt my body go numb and then everything went black.
