Playing around with a haunted house

The rain began to pour strong and

steady as my heart lingered through

the majestic home built for some

high roller only for him and his

family to be massacred like cattle

by some wanna-be a teenage gang. I felt a exploding,

ever-lasting despair creep into my soul

as I entered the library where one

of the teenagers commited suicide.

It was a haunting unlike any other.

I could feel the energy of the poor

sap that cried for the slaughter of

the children. It wasn't suppose to

have been like this, I felt the

presense of the lingering dead

within my body.

I was drawn there to the library to

hear the solemn tears of the

apologies.

What was I to do with apologies?

Wasn't the deed done? It could never be undid.

I let the sorrow wash over me until

I felt the ominious terror of

that soul rip through my body until I trembled on the floor.

I awoke sweaty and confused. I

couldn't be here any longer.

this house must be cleansed or

burnt to the ground. There may be a possibility this

house could never be resold, but I was good at selling. Wasn't I?

Pressed against my hand was a

slightly curved blade with a lion

handle. I threw it to the floor

instantly.

I felt a cold chill raise the hairs on the back of my neck as I felt the wandering soul of the father try to knock me down.

I resisted this effort knowing the spirit was just acting out of

fear and helplessness.

I ran down the stairs to where the

mother was murdered. It felt

different than all the others

here. There wasn't helplessness.

Although there was fear. It was

as if she lost all hope as she

tried to hide her two children

from the taunting gang. I heard her

beg. Please, not the children.

Anything but the children.
