do you feel the coolness of the grass below,
While laying under, a cool and shady tree,
gazing up, into a crystal blue sky,
you see the clouds take shape,
the cool breeze seems to hypnotize,
as the sweet sound of a mocking bird,
lullibies you, into a gentle sleep.
here I stand near the sky,
on a mountain so high,
as the sun warms me here,
the view is so clear,
I gaze deep into the valley,
as peace sweeps over me,
unharmed by the touch of man,
this is God's land,
I stand there breathing the clean air,
seeing the world, without cares,
no one there but the lord and me,
together, in nature's harmony.
blackness surrounds me, it covers all,
all I've known, passes before my eyes,
I see a tunnel, with rising from the mouth,
I'm grabbed suddenly, by a white hand,
the tunnel of flames are gone,
the man smiles at me, ever so loving,
the darkness becomes the street, where I
was it,
the driver was relieved to see me alive,
Iprayed that night, kneeling beside a portrait
of christ,
I looked into the picture, and there was the
smiling man.
ALONE IN THE DARK
only the sound of trees, blowing in the distance can be heard,
all is gravely quiet, with the setting of the sun,
the path ahead is dark and grim, shadows lurk everywhere,
only the brave would venture out, or the foolish,
but I must go forth, I cannot wait, I must obey my cravings,
I shall grow weak and loose control, or my sanity,
I can smell the scent of the trees, and my meal,
the wind carries it to me,
she smells like roses, and a hint of vanilla,
my pulse quickens at the thought of her,
I move silently but quickly, almost like a gentle breeze,
but this breeze must obey his bloodlust,
the scent seems strangely familiar, like I should know it,
but I can't think now, not when I'm so close to the prize,
she sings a tune I almost know the words to,
I could almost hum it,
I walk out of the tree line, and I see a beautiful brunette,
she seems a little sad, like she lost someone,
I almost recognize her, but then I see her slender throat,
and I move toward her in a burst of speed,
she turns and spots me, with open arms she smiles,
in an instant I'm on her, teeth sinking in,
the last sound she makes is my name,
she tells me she forgives me,
as her blood fills me, and I lap at her neck,
I remember her, as I lay her limp body down,
the only woman I ever really cared for,
before I became this murderous thing,
I carry her to the lake beside this park,
she always did love the water,
I lay her cold dead body in the water,
and say a silent prayer, for her death,
rest in peace, soon I will too,
forgive me, my sister.
