I just finished listening to the song "Detachable Penis" by King Missile. I haven't heard that song in ages. I had forgotten how funny it was. For those of you that have never heard it, or haven't heard it in a long time, here's the video:
Ah, the things kids say. :)
I made a Chocolate Silk Pie earlier today, and we just each had a piece for dessert. My sons' reactions were priceless.
Cole: "This is fantastic, superlicious!"
Daniel: "It's even better than that!"
Superlicious? That's a new one to me, but I sure enjoyed hearing it.
I need to find someone with extensive knowledge of the military. Preferably of the Marine Corps. I'm researching for a character in one of my books, and while I can find most of what I need on the internet, it would be so much easier to have someone to go to with the questions I need to ask, when I need to ask them. Right now, it's taking me forever to find the information I need, and I'm not 100% sure how reliable it is.
I did have someone here that I could ask about some of these things, but he doesn't seem to get online much anymore.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wallow about in the internet info and see what I can come up with.

Maybe I can help. I served 8 years in the Marines, so did Scott :)
I am here if you need to. I served 8 years and still work for the Marines. I'm sure I can be of some type of help.
You know, it's really exciting to read a 579 page novel that you wrote yourself. :P
I just finished reading through the first of the three of my books I have to edit. It was really thrilling. I finished writing that book last year, in April. I haven't read it again since then. I knew how things happened in it, but it was still really great to read it again, to reconnect with the "birth" of the characters that still I'm working with over a year later.
I'm finding it very difficult to cut out parts of the book. I'm very attached to it. I know that some parts have to go, and that others need to be seriously altered, but it's a hard process. In the end, I know the book will be better for it, but still, it's hard to do.
I don't know how much I'll be on over the next few weeks, or maybe even months. I'm working on revising the latest series of books that I wrote, and right now, that's my priority. They need a major overhaul. I've gotten a lot of helpful feedback from agents that I've sent them to, so once I'm done, I should be able to get them published.
As it stands right now, there are 3 completed books in the series, but it's going to be ongoing. I'd like it to be a continuous series, much like Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. I know I'll be able to get at least 10 books out of it, but, by the time it's said and done, I'm hoping for more. There are so many possibilities with it. Only time will tell I guess. :P
