For those that actually read journal entries, here's one for ya.
Last fall I was accepted into the Sign Language Interpreting Program, so I'm in class for 5 hours a night.
Mike and I have been doing alot on our house, including marble on the coutertops, solid oak hardwood flooring, building an island for the kitchen, building a booth for the dining area, starting on a wet bar downstairs, an art studio for me, new cabinetry, a pantry in the kitchen, new appliances in the kitchen, exteded our bathroom and put in an iron bathtub, and so much more on the inside. The outside, we have ripped up the old sidewalk and bullcrap and put in a fish pond with sand on one side of it, we got a 6 person hot tub and put that on the side patio. So, we've been working hard and it has been hard work.
I'm in the process of trying to write a grant to open a daycare and preschool for deaf and hard of hearing children with infuence from the Deaf community for the hearing parents of these children so they can make an educated decision on everything that pertains to their child's life.
I have been looking for a job like no other. I had one working as a 2 year old teacher at a preschool, but 1.) it did not pay nearly enough and 2.) she didn't have enough kids and she forced me to quit. Oh well.
