Foreword:

I shall refer to the subjects with in this text as "Lycanthropes, Lycans, Werewolves" But I also mean to say Otherkin at the same time, this saves on length of this text. Thank you for understanding this.



Order I:

The word, Lycan, Derived from Lycos, meaning wolf. Anthrope, Meaning of man,man, human. Together these words are said to be Wolfman or werewolf. Zoanthropes Zoan meaning of all animals and anthrope, Were Animals. Another word you should know of is Therianthropy. Therianthropy is basically another way of saying Zoanthropy



Order II:

Otherkin. This word describes the rest of the Zoanthropic community. In this sense, If you are a werewolf, a Were cat, for example would be otherkin. Otherkin in the big picture means "Other family" since animals are all one big happy order.



Order III:

A Lycan or Zoan is a human body that is a symbiotic host to other animal spirits/demons that inhabit the body for an unique purpose. Most spirits are guides to the host and help the spirit barrier make the proper decisions in his/her life on the journey that they so choose to take. A lycan can possess spiritual energy enhancement with in the aura and biorhythm of the human soul. Bonding is much more powerful, enhanced, and more swift than a normal human.



The senses of a zoan also may be adequately augmented a bit. And sensory perception will be quite powerful at times. Moon phases may cause the spirit(s) to manifest themselves in different augmented behaviors.



Order IV:

Totem spirits are mostly of the belief of the Indians of north America. There are other origins of this type of manifestation dealing with spiritual entities living with in a human host. The totem spirit is assigned to a person at birth and will teach and guide that subject until their corruption or death.



These spirits are very gentle and wise, they do not cause burdens or curses as some people would say. They are there to watch over you and protect you. Aggressive dominant spirits may be harder to control in the urges and must be worked with immediately after awakening (See below).



Order V:

The four types of shifting. Shifting is a complicated matter. Some are real some are false in my opinion. They are: Mental Shift, Physical Shift, Spirit Shift, Planal Shift.



Mental: One who mentally shifts experiences a transformation of the body into animal body parts growing out the regular human body parts. This can only be seen and felt by the Zoan that is experiencing this. Mental shifts can be mild to extremely intense, possibly covering the whole body.



Physical: This is where I draw the line between reality and falsity. You may believe what you wish but I do not believe in this power. A physical shifter is one who can change their bodies into another species of animal.



Spiritual: This is where an animal spirit changes a human host into an Therianthrope (see Order I). Spirit shifters are the most common of the 4 and the most realistic and closest form of being a Zoanthrope.



Planal: This refers to one who has been able to shift into an animal or other being with in the Astral Plane or other planes for that matter. In dream states of meditative out of body states the subject can travel into a plane and shift and be free of their human bodies.



Order VI:

Awakenings are very special times, almost like birth days of the spirit itself. Animal Spirits awaken at a young age about the same time puberty happens. The spirit finds that you are mature to begin guidance and comes into play. If for some reason you aren't ready the spirit will wait until you are. This is rare but happens. Some don't awaken until they are 30 years of age.



When you awaken you are most likely to understand this in four concepts. Meditative Vision, Dream, Occurrences, and occurrences. You can have a vision of a wolf or such trying to lead you to a destination. Or a dream about wolves and a wolf pack and some other instance of freedom. or or you can have an occurrence of a wolf in nature in real life come and show you its friendship or even see the spirit itself with out dream or vision. and you may have deeply thought revelations of who you really are. Sometimes there is a mixture of the four.



Order VII:

Lycanthropes, among otherkin in general manifest themselves. There are many different ways that I have known Lycans to be.



a. Visionaries

b. Alphas

c. Subordinates

d. Furries (a mixture of were and the furry fandom)

e. Loners

f. Witness's

g. Abominations

h. Polyshift

i. Guardians

j. Corrupted



To explain in detail:



A. Visionaries:

A visionary is one who sets out on a quest to better the lycan kind. They have a mission of a specific task or tasks. They are most likely leaders maybe even Alphas or Lonewolves, and/or Elders.



B. Alphas:

An Alpha is the highest ranking wolf in an organized pack. These are true leaders and should be held with great respect. An Alpha has an important role in the community, gathering pack members into organizations to perform tasks with in the community by leading them properly and teaching his/her pack disciples the correct ways of the wolf and the pack. This structure keeps the community on its toes moving to the rhythm of the Lycan day and night.



C. Subordinates:

These are those who follow the alpha or betas with in the pack. They are the citizens of the city and help get things done in the pack and give the pack the reason for its existence. subordinates shall not be treated wrongly they are loyal and well loved as well as any other rank in the pack. These include Subordinates in general, and Omegas. Omegas are those in the pack that keep it stable, with love and playfulness, most are pups that seek maturity and are there with a purpose of giving the pack new spirit and new blood.



D. Furries:

Furries are usually (not always) people who enjoy Animal shift so much that they play it on the internet, stories artwork, and in real life with fur costumes. These people have a life style of the sort and are happy go lucky people. some furries are were's some aren't, In my expeditions I have found most of them aren't they just like to hang out that way.



E. Loners:

Loners (like lonewolves) are those who take no heading to the community and/or packs. They are on there own to find themselves and their ways. Loners can one day join the pack and become an alpha, or they can continue to be submissive. A loner is a special breed all to their own. The psychological makeup is different normally, than most lycans.



F. Witnesses:

These are those who are hidden behind the scenes posing or being another role with in these roles. (Mind you, that anyone in these roles can be more than one manifestation). A witness will see what happens with in the community and will learn the secrets of the good, the bad, and the ugly.



They will witness the coming events of good fortune for our kind or the horrible corrupted slaughter of our kindred. They see every moving moment weather it be bad or good. They see and feel things most don't understand. If you happen to meet one of these, be kind or face their Wrath for these are filled with emotions beyond any others.



G: Abominations:

These are very controversial were's. They have the ability to be both Werewolf and Vampire at the same time. They are polyshift in a way only the other is a demon/spirit of a vampiric nature. These aren't necessarily more powerful but they have the ability to take energy from other sources and feed on it better than lycans can. But that is also a weakness. All creatures are balanced, so are abominations.



H. Polyshift:

A polyshift is a multiple spirit inhabited human host. This person may have a wolf, a hyena, a whale, whatever it may may be. It isn't uncommon to have multiple spirits. But some say there are deities that watch over them that can be confused as spirits with in the body. So be careful.



I: Guardians:

Guardians are those who feel they are defending the earth against evil corrupted individuals both otherkin or human. Guardians must be especially careful how they act against or for any other creature on this planet. They are here to protect their kin from any uprisings that may be obstacles to the movement of the Were communities. Good judgment and guidance of the heart, will bring good quests to save us from those who wish to hurt us to an end.



J: Corrupted:

Those are disdained for being in this category beware. These are the unjust wrongful people of the lycan community they seek with malice to hurt the community or hurt other individuals that are only trying to understand themselves. They have gave up their spirits to being tainted. trapping the spirit inside the fowl body until it finally dies. These should be kept away from the community at all costs banned from the society of otherkin. They act with hate and malice instead of acceptance and love. After all these years of pain and torture to our wolven brothers in the wilderness the wolf has never hated man kind, only have been protective against those who hunt them. Hate is NOT an emotion of animals. Out of all the time I ever felt an aura of an animal I have never felt hate even when they are abused by owners.



Order VIII:

There is a metaphysical / paraphysical process that this works with. There are 3 components, the Flesh (mind included) The Soul and Spirit, and the Biorhythm and Aura of the human body. The spirit sends its signals into the aura, which then is converted by the Biorhythm with in the body into a form of energy that can be interpreted by the brain by E.S.P. (Extra Sensory Perception) Signaling. This is known as a M.S.C.P. (Metaphysical Signaling Conversion Process). Once this signal is handed down from the spirit to the brain. It is interpreted as thoughts with in the mind, or dreams, or visions. The thoughts are not like schizophrenia type voices. They are simple revelational thoughts that inspire you into the right path of life. They will also teach you as well. Most elder Lycans will learn a great deal from this method and become wise faster than the human host could ever get.



Order IX:

On the topic again about Furries and Weres. Most furries are not all Otherkin, a lot have the spirit but Furry fandom is not a spiritual belief it is a lifestyle. Furries can be anything in belief maybe no belief at all.



Order X:

Demonology is a touchy subject. Those who have demons inside them are very defined. For example, one who is an abomination could have both spirits entwined into one. Forming a demon entity. Demons are higher level muninal spirits that are made up of smaller ancient spirits rolled up into one higher level spirit. Munin is a term for ancient spirits acting as a collective to form a similar task. Demons manifest them selves as many things, very little is known about them. A lot of religious beliefs claim they know demons in specifics I'm not sure about any of these claims, that is out of the scope of our lexicon. Just remember what a demon is composed of and how it works with multiple spirits with in a body.

91. Countering Indirect Attack



Shielding is most often used as a protective measure against psychic attack. As sheilding is not always the best option, there are a number of other ways to repel an attack. Most of these rely upon various methods of energy manipulation. Some of these are defensive, while others seek to repel an attack through offensive means.



There are really only two methods of psychic attack: direct pychic attak and indirect psychic attack. Direct psychic attack throws energy ata a target. Indirect psychic attack takes energy away. All psychic attacks that you incounter will be variations on these two techniques.



At this point, you should be quite familiar with indirect psychic attack. It is simply an aggressive form of feeding. When feeding is used as a psychic attack, an individual or entity lashes out with a tenderil of energy. If the attack is successful, this tendril punches threw the target's aura and latches onto the subtle body. The energy drain that followsis fast deep, and is usually intended to deplete the target's energy as quickly as possible.



There are several defenses against this type of energy drain. Most Awakened will rely upon shields to prevent an attacking entity or individual from making contact with their energy. However, as shields are constructed of energy themselves, they can also be latched onto and drained.



A better avoidance technidue is to spike your energy with an undesirable emotion or other quality that will essentially make it taste ba to your attacker. You can do this by focusing on an unplesent noise, like static or a high-pitched whin, and spreading this effect throughout your energy. You can also charge your energy with an unpleasent sensation, like pins and neddles, or even an offensive smell. This tequnique assumes that you know to expect an attack, however, as it is impractical to maintain such a charge throughout your energy indeffinately.



If you are too late to repel the attack and the entity or individual has already latched onto your energy, there are several courses of action you may take. The first option is to willfully send energy down the tendril to your attacker - all at once. Gather a significant charge of energy, focus on the link the attacker has made to your energy, and hurl the energy down at them. This works well for repelling attacking entities that are not acting out of anything but brute hunger. Usally after such an unexpected mouthful they will detach and seek elsewhere for their meal.



If you are feeling particularly vindictive, you can spike your energy with something unpleasent, as desribed above. In this case, however, you will willfully take a concentrated spike of that energy and send it down the tendrilto your attacker. If you have some idea of what frequencies of energy your attacker find incompatible, you can send this down the line. If an attacker latches onto your energy expecting to withdraw vital life force and instead gets a mouthful of deep earth energy or solar energy, the shock will typically inspire them to detach as they essentially choke on the incompatible ferquency.



Another method for dealing with an energy drain is to grab onto the tendril and begin pulling energy through it yourself. This inevitably becomes a battle of Wills, and whoever i able to enacvt the strongest drain will win. This tactic will drive off just about anything that might go after your energy, with the possible exception os someone who has singled you out for a premeditated attack. even willful attackers may think twice about feeding off of you if you have successfully taken there energy through thier own tendril.

      In the world there are many psychic vampires: People who feed off the energy of other people's auras. Some of them are not conscious of the fact that they are sucking people's energy.One of my friends is a psychic vampire but she can't suck my energy as i am also one and she has learnt to regret it. There are amulets people can by that supposedly protect pople from psychic vamps but i have not come across one that has worked so far...

      Well in that case then the answers is a simple Yes.



      Yes magick can be used as psyvamps feed on eneregy and magick is energy. By blocking the energy you stop the feeding. But the thing is most people do not have anough knowledge to understand that those that would attack you ( As it is our belief to have willing donor. A it makes the experiance much more enjoyable for all involved.) Those that do attack are usally delt with severly by those of us that are more mature then that. I have reprmanded many a psyvamp i have caught doing this.



      But to use such things means that you fear us. There is nothing to be feared from us. As there should be no wish to be like us ( And before anyone ask NO I cannot make you one. You are ether born this way or not. Deal with it.) It is the fear of us that has cause a spur in books on how to block and what not. Do to this many of our kind have chossen to hide there true slefs. Due to being attacked by those wil limited magickal knowledge and a injust and stupid fear of us.



      The only motto that i have heard from my kind is not "kill hurt destroy" but "live and let live". We want to have a peaceful existance. Not have to hide who we are so that we are not treated unfairly.

      Here is a spell for those who want to protect them selves form psychic vampires



      This is a fairly straight forward spell to rid yourself of psychic vampires (you'll know if you've got one, trust me!)



      You will need on your altar :



      2 white candles

      Sea salt in warm water in a cauldron or bowl

      Incense (frankincense or myrrh are good)

      Your favorite oil.

      Place the candles at the back of the altar, one on the right to represent the God, one on the left for the Goddess. Place the salt water in the centre, and the incense at the front.



      Anoint each item with the oil and say :

      seeing as i Am a psychic vamp i have had no need to try it but it helps my friends with other psychic vamps and i think it just only works for the lesser ones. it that does not work people could also try Dion Fortune's Ring Pass Not. which involves visualising two rings around your whole body with one spinning clock wise and the other spinning anti clockwise so as to stop the energy sucking entity if it gets through one of the rings

      there are as i mention before people who do not know they are psychic vamps but wonder why when anyone's near them the suddenly find the peoplegeting tired.       Thank you for the info, to protect people around me, I wear my own amulet. I charged it with concentrated energy so I can draw from that instead of my friends. I think it is posted in my journal, and if not I will put it there for everyone to use.



      Usually Amulets are worn as a necklace, but it works just as well in a purse or a pocket. The main thing is that you keep it close if you want to draw from it.

      I personaly am a psy vampire and I havent ran across anything yet that has prevented me from drawing someones energy. I have found that at times i will drain poeople just by being around them. Sometimes it creeps me out cause i get these big burst of energy and every one else is getting blah. Makes me feel bad at times but. eh what can I do. It is fun to drain people that you do not like, just to do so wether i need the energy or not.

      Mis- Are you good at visualization? One of the basic things I learned was to visualize yourself surrounded by a golden light...

      I was told it's called "golden egg"

      If I know I'm going out with some draining friends...and I dont feel like letting them leech

      (mainly cause they dont know they're doing it)

      I visualize this before going out. If you can put your will into it and focus every now and then, well. I found it works great for me.

      Ether way you still fear us wether it be the natural powers that we have and have to STRUGGLE over getting power over. Or us psys. At least you admit you have a fear. Most deny they have a fear and only seek protection "just in case". By gathering protection about you you grow this fear with in your head.



      Further more why fear us? What is it about our powers that make you afraid? Now almost all psys dont go around preying on people. No, Infact they are very discreat about who they pic to feed off and explian everything to them. Then they alow the person to decide if they can live with it the rest of there lives. If they say no then we do not feed. It is about RESPECT. And we as a majority RESPECT you that are not like us. When are you going to RESPECT us and stop acting like we are out to get you, or even that all we want i to feed on you. Infact you want to know something? Read my resent rambeling in my journal!



      I hate the fact that i am what i am! I wish I could deny the hungery and never pay it heed again! I have the RESPECT to not go around and prey on people. I actually find other way to state the hunger within. But there are times when i wounder if my DENIAL to my hunger pays off. People asking fro protection from my kind does not help with my choice. I mean those that attack people are most of the time not even PsyVamps! They are people that have read the codex and decided they want to be like us. They prey because they think it is fun. Those are the people you should fear not us. We would rather live with out that directed at us. But i see no matter what i do to try and change how people view us it is not possible for them to change!

      That is true the talents that we have been given are NOT EVIL. Infact they are what many people LEARN so they can do good. I am a natural boen healer and have used my talent to do so. Now does this sound like what an evil person would do. I do no harm unto others and expect the same in return. But by doing spell like have been stated here and other things ment to destroy psycic feeding you are actually HURTING many of us. We are vunerable with energy as it is both our life line and our curse. By attacking that with even when we do not feed, but depend apon would be like me going and pouring acid on a person and it splashing on spectators. Now i would never do this ... maybe ... But it is a good example of what happens to us.



      As to shutting off whats inside. This can never happen. You even have said you know this .. not openly but if you think about it you will see what i say. The thing you need to do is control it and bend it to YOUR will and not let the hungery control you. And by gaining control over it you will also discover many things about your powers you never knew before. And ways to use them besides just for feeding.       I have tried visualization. The problem I have with that, is that I have a hard time keeping my mind focused.



      Lown- I may fear your powers, but I am also naturally attracted to vampires. I fear psy vamps, only the ones who do not know what they are, because I have felt them taking from me.       It is because of ignorant people like you that we are treated the way we are. Yhings involving Psys are starting to get to the point where there will be a vamp hunt like the witch hunts of the past. Wehre those tht FEARED that which they DIDNT UNDERSTAND. They went around estroying and killing people because they could not and wished not to be open minded and view things from the other persons point of view.       As for me personally...never said it was an evil thing. Try to understand it from an innocents point of view. Walking down the street someone bumps into you...it may be harmless and unknowing, but they got you in a good spot and it smarted. The next time you walk in that particular place...or recognize that person...it is natural to want to tighten up your stance. Be on guard for that which initially jarred you.

      So, I believe it is the same defense some people look for against Psi's.

      You have good and bad in every person. What your abilities may intale are not evil persay....but some who are sensitive may see them as unwanted advances and may want a little padding.

      ::shrugs:: Hopefuly this seems less of an atttack. I dont think the people here mean to attack anyone and there abilities or beliefs. I think they are just looking for a better way to cope.

      I raised a pys vamp and am very proud of him. I am very proud of the fact that like every other pys vamp I know, he will stand up against the fear mongers amoung us and try to let the truth be known. The only thing to fear really is fear itself. My son was actually 19-20 before he even learned to feed from humans. I taught him long before he even know he was a pys vamp to feed off of the universal energy. Most pys vamp do perfer to feed from humans because the energy is closest to what they need. people spill energy all the time. what is wrong with collecting it?

      Well to squash this one. PsyVamps do not "drain" you. they only take a miniscual amount of your entire energy. Infact its such a smalll amount that you hardly notice it gone. And even then if your afraid of fatigue. A good nights sleep replenishs any energy a PsyVamp would takee from you. Plus on top of that i cant6 say this enough. PSYVAMPS ALWAYS ASK YOUR PERMISSION BEFOE THEY FEED FROM YOU!



      Now as to those that would drain you. I woke speak of such things as they have nothing to do with PsyVamps. Just know there common name is a Leach. And that is all i will say on those that drian people of all there energy.

      I'm sorry to probably piss off most of you, but I think psychic vampires don't exsist, I think people say they're psychic vampires because they know they can never be a real vampire.



      I have a friend who reckons he's a psychic vampire. he tried to 'drain' me once and surprise surprise, nothing happened.



      What is normally termed as psychic vampirism is actually nothing to do with proper vampirism.

      A psychic vampire is someone who seems to get everything someone else wants, and makes people feel listless around them. It is nothing to do with vampirism, it is to do with esp, so they say.



      Just my opinion, just what I've read and studied for most of my life.

      I did not read her post. I only read the part where she said she didn't read other peoples posts.       Thank you Lown for rreading what I had to say..I will reread you profile as it was actually one of the ones I read and helped me realize what and who I am..To the person claiming were not really vamps well i say this what is a vampire then but someone who either takes intentionally or unintentionally from another whether it be energy or blood..I happen not to want to take human blood as that are many things wrong with it one being if I should happen to lets say have a taste bud that is infected and this person I might bein feeding from has something AJAX cant wash off I would rather not come down with something I have been able to avoid by sheer chance or Miricle and yes I believe in those as well..I again agree with Lown here why come to a thread unless you are willing to read what is said these are discussions..you dont have to agree with something said but have respect for all and how would you know you havent perhaps slighted someone even unintentionally if you dont read them all????...

      Now I know I am going to get yelled at for this, but hey I dont go with the flow.



      Now you all are saying Kat was ooo soo sweet. And yes I will agree she had her sweet moments. But I take it you have never done anything to piss her off or cross her path. I have a couple of times without even relizing it. And well lets just say I am not at all supiresed she threw a fit and deleted her account.



      Now you are blaming other people for her leaving. Now that in its self is being chilish. Blaming another living being for you actions and decissions is just plain wrong.       I am closing this thread. I have never liked these 'goodbye' threads. If someone leaves, they leave. I will not lament someone that makes the conscious decision to self-delete their account.



      Kat made the choice to leave. At the minimum the choice can be respected in the form of letting sleeping dogs lie.



      As to these relentless VR members that made Kat's life hell, it's just not true. I guess her mother should have taught her the sticks and stones nursery rhyme. If you can't handle a little bit of Internet conflict, you're in for a rough life period.
