The first thing I hear is a steady beeping noise and then voices. Some say "I think he's coming back to consciousness" and "Carver!? Carver!?".....Carver? Oh..yes, wait my name..Carver. I was hit with an overwhelming amount of smells. I graon and open my eyes to find my sisters tearful face right in mine. My sister immedeatly hugs me and my brother ruffles my hair.

"Hold up. Celebrate later children." Says a doctor standing by my bed.

"Ok..ok." My sister Rose says in her whiney voice.

"Gotcha Doc!" Said my idiotic brother Conner.

As soon as they left the doctor whipped his head torward me and stared at me with an intrested conscerned sort of look. His first question was typical, "How do you feel?" Though the way he said it, it sounded odd.

I tried to set up but I felt wierdly weak like my energy had been drained. I answered truthfully, " Strange..but hey do you guys have some kind of air freshener in here."

He smiled sweetly. "No Carver..but do you remember what happened to you to get you here?"

"No sir I don't... how long have I been unconscious?"

"For about 3 days."

I couldn't help but ask. "Do you know what happened to me?"

" Yes but you cannot tell your family." He sat on the edge of my bed and I realized just how wierd this doctor really was. Doctors are usually ugly but this doctor was gorgeous with dark brown eyes and dark hair, he had a hard jaw line with high cheek bones..the only way to describe him was that he looked like a model.

"Believe me I won't want to."

"Well I have reason to think you were bitten by a vampire."

This was told to me 4 months ago. I am now very close to the doctor I met. His name is Garwin. He is a vampire himself with his own Coven of vampires. After explaining that a vampire from another coven that they have been trying to make peace with for over one hundred years attaked me he did somthing any vampire like Dracula wouldn't do...I'm about sure of it. He took me under his wing (no pun intended) and invited me to come into his coven. I go everyday and he, his son, his daughter, and a couple others teach me somthing new almost every time I go.Though i wasn't welcomed happily I have made some good friends. I never tell my brother nor sister about my daily life of hangin with vampires. I think I know exactly how they would react especially if they found out I was a vampire.

So here I am after school(soaked to the bone by the recent rain that bombarded me on the way here) walking to see the coven. I come up to a large building that is so familiar to me now. The academy like establishment is deep in the woods looks unwelcoming and deserted from the outside. I was scared the first time I came but not as much as the look of the building but the thought of what lyed in wait for me inside. Now I easily walk up the long stairs and feel actually more relieved than I do walking up my own stairs at home. I come to the large wooden door and ring the doorbell. Immedeatly Garwin arives at the door and smiles "Well hello Carver..oh come in come in you can borrow Simons clothes, I'm sure he won't mind." I come in and sigh at how nicely warm he keeps the house. And just in case you were wondering who Simon is he's Garwins son (which pretty much means he's just as gorgeous maybe even more than Garwin).

"Hey Garwin, thanks and I hope he dosen't mind 'cause he's scary when he's mad."

He laughed,"Don't worry I'm scarier than he is when I'm mad and he knows that from experience."

He showed me to Simons room and gave me clothes. And as I stripped down I was in such deep thought I almost didn't notice Simon come in.

"WWWAAAAAHH!!" Simon screamed the loudest scream I've ever heard and slammed the door closed. I could hear him breathing heavily outside the door.

Next I heard the unmistakabley sweet tone of Garwins voice with now a mix of worry, "Simon what in the world could be so wrong as to make you scream like that?!"

"Oh I don't know maybe the fact that Carver is standing wet and naked in the middle of my room!" Simon hissed.

Garwin sounded strangely confused,"Why would that bother y....ooooohh."

"Yeah ooooh." grumbled Simon sarcastically.

"Well I knew you felt that way...but I didn't think that would bother you and I didn't think you'd be home so early."

"Next time judge your time better. Now can you tell me why his body is being exposed in my room?"

"Oh, Simon you don't have to say it like that and well he came here soaked from the rain I told him he could borrow some of your clothes, so he changed in your room."

"Great now his smell will be on my clothes too. Thanks."

After hearing all this I decided to come out. As I walked out I was pulling on my shirt(well mostly mine).

"Hey If I'm causing any trouble I can go and get my own clothes at my house." I said.

They both turned and looked at me pulling on my shirt.

Garwin gave me an apolagetic look. "That won't be necassary...errr...Simons being complicated."

Simon growled, "What!? I am not being damn complicated! I am being perfectly practical!"

"Simon go into your room and..ummm..uh..calm yourself...uh...down".

Some one listening on the lower level laughed. Simon hissed in warning, and the laughing immedeatly stopped.

Simon glared at Garwin, " You are emmbarasing the crap out of me!"

"Well, Simon you do your share of embarassing me and.." He ruffles my hair, "Carvers face is about ten shades darker than it used to be."

I look at Simon, who is now staring straight at me. His eyes felt like liquid fire . I looked down trying to escape this burning that I suddenly craved. I heard somthing and looked up Simon was standing almost pressed up against me and he was looking down at me.

"What?"Simon asked sounding a bit agrivated.

"N..nothing" I stuttered.

Simon stares intensely ,for what felt like forever, finally he steps forward. Now he is pressed up against me, I look up.

"See you later" he sneers at Garwin (which makes Garwin smile I might add). But then he suprises me. He turns ,still pressed up against me and bends down to my ear. He quietly mummbles "Your body is beautiful."

He turns and walks down the hall to probabley start his studies. I turn to find Garwin giving me an I told you so smile.

"Simon likes you," Garwin laughs, " Its very un-simon like. But I have to tell you...Simon always gets what he wants and by what I've seen Simon wants you." He pokes my nose.

My face feels like its on fire. I turn around to go down stairs. "I..I'm gonna go uhh do stuff."

I hear Garwin chuckle quietly and go into his office.

I get down the mile long stairs and set down on the couch in front of a big window that overlooks the vast forest.

I was calm until suddenly a cold little hand touches my face. I turn to find a small child. She was beautiful definatly a vampire. She had beautiful white blonde hair and light grey eyes.

"Hello," I say trying not to scare her away, "whats your name?"

"Hi mister I'm Esanan and I'm 4 and 3 quarters." She had a cute British accent and she pronounced her R's like W's.

I couldn't help but smile. "Nice to meet you Esanan I'm Carver."

She stares at me for a secound and then she says, "Mister Carver your pretty...like a girl."

I twich, "Well your even prettier."

"I have an important question Mister Carver."

"And what would that be?"

"Are you mister Simons girlfriend?"

I open my mouth to say somthing but the room starts to spin.

I hear her voice, "Mister Carver are you ok....Mister Carver?!"

The next thing I know everything goes black.

"What in the hell do you mean this kind of thing happens all the time!?" That is the first thing I hear.

And then a much calmer voice answers, "Ugh..Simon..Carver is a new vampire and you should know better than anyone that when you are new your emotions hit you harder than they naturally do as a human. And I personally think that today Carver has been hit with alot of emotions...most of them from you."

I hear a growl.

Then another voice..how many people are in this room? This voice is small and girly. "I didn't think my question would make Mister Carver faint."

"Well sweetheart could you tell us what you asked Mister Carver?" Definetly Garwin.

"Well....all I asked was if he was Mister Simons girlfriend"

I imediatly hear a flustered noise from across the room. "What in the hell you little shitter!" I hear a flurry of noise.

"Now Simon have we failed to remember that Esanan is only three years old so could we stop throttling her neck!"

I hear Simon growl and drop somthing small. Esanan is breathing loudly.

I think its about time I woke up. I try hard to say somthing but it all comes out as "Aaah...".

A hand touches my face and my heart goes into overdrive..its Simon.

"Carver?" He says. I don't have the strength to open my eyes so I just consentrate on the feeling of his hand on my face.

Some one starts to step forward. Simon hisses angrily.

"Simon its just me," Garwin says in a hushed voice, "I have to come over there to see if Carver is alright." He must have said somthing right cause I feel Garwin messing with my sheets. Its about time I opened my eyes. Simon is staring at me, I stare back. He sighs and smiles at me.

I turn to see Garwin with his eyebrows raised.

"I'll be going." Simon mummbles. My heart freezes. A million questions rush through my mind. Simon is leaving? Why? Did I do somthing wrong? Why does my heart hurt? Why do I need him?

He is walking away. I do somthing strange. I jump out of bed, but my legs are weak. Simon turns and catches me in his arms. He looks down at me questionly. "Why?" I say. Everyone is staring at us.

His eyes smolder and he bends down. "Do you want me to come back later."

I nod unable to speak.

"Well then," He puts me back in my bed. " I promise to be back for you."

He leaves.

"Wow" Garwin mumbles.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Its just thats the first time in forever that I have seen Simon smile..or make a promise that I'm sure he'll keep."

"You don't know he'll keep it."

"That look in Simons eye when you said you wanted him to come back said it all."

Esanan finally speaks, "He looked like he wanted to eat you when he saw you naked."

Garwin yelps and I flush red."Esanan lets not put Carver in a coma." He shoo's her out the door and turns and gives me a sheepish smile, " heh heh sorry about her."

"Thats ok she's cute."

"Do you need to hunt?"

I hadn't even thought about that. My throat did feel dry.

"Yes, I think I do."

"Well I'm sorry but first you need to rest. Simon will hunt with you when you have enough energy."

I have never hunted with Simon before. I'm sure I'll embarass myself but I might as well go. "Well..ok."

As if he read my mind Garwin laughs, "Don't worry I'll tell Simon to slow down."

"Don't tell him that!"

That makes him laugh even more, "Ok..ok. He'll probably be way overprotective anyways. If somthing even bonks you he'll be sure to make it a point to rip it to bits. Now take it easy you'll need your energy."

"Ok thanks Garwin." I walk out of the room to go downstairs. I arrive to find Kreg, Simons agrivating brother, watching football.

"WHOOO!! YEAHH GO GO!" He screams and jumps up and claps his hands. Then he turns and smiles, "Hey, I heard you fainted again heheh! Whoops! I mean 'passed out' heheh."

I narrow my eyes at him.

"OOh no he's gonna get me! Well I'll just have to get him first eh!"

"NO!" I scream as he grabs me and throws me on the couch.

"Got ya!" He smiles triumphently.

I lay there frowning pathetically. "How did you find out?"

His smile streches farther. "Who wouldn't know with Simon screaming like that!" He laughs.

"I..I.." Stuttering like an idiot my face turns red.

"OOH...someone has bitten by the loooove bug!" He yells loudly. Then he breaks out in song. "'And they call it puppy loove!'" I start to punch him repeatedly and the secound verse of the song comes out as." A..a..a.nd.. thheey heheh caalll ooh ow! it pu..heh..pu..puppy..loo..ow..you terd! LOVE!!"

"STOP IT!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

"Ok ok..just stop smacking me..god you little fighter."

I jumped up from the couch. Oops! Too fast! everything started to spin, my vision went blurry and my knees buckled. Before I could fall Kreg caught me.

"Take it easy little buddy, you heard what my dad said." He looks concerned.

I pull from his grasp and walk away. Why do I always have to be so weak, from what I've heard vampires are supposed to be strong and perfect...so whats wrong with me?

I am probabley the farthest thing from perfect.

I mean I even look the same, I think as I look in the myself in a mirror in the hall with disgust. I touch my face, I have always been pale...but this un-human pale was amazing. The only color was on my cheeks that were most of the time red for some reason. I was born with two different eye colors. When I had been human the right eye had been a light, almost white, grey color and the left a strange purple. Now as a vampire the right was pure white and my left changed colors often. Sometimes it will be red, sometimes purple, and sometimes both. Those aren't the only colors though...I reach up and cover my left eye. I stare at my long unruley hair, it grew to my shoulders. It was like the black of a crows wing...when you shined it in the light it exposed the many shades of many colors that made it beautiful. I had been born prematurely so I was tiny. Not exactly a guys dream...tiny and pale. Also to add to all that girls call me pretty. Tiny...Pretty....Pale? I wish I didn't look like this.

"Why are you looking so hard at yourself in the mirror sweety?" Says a voice like honey.

I turn embarassed to see Simons beautiful sister Vesper staring at me smiling, "Oh..I was..j..just.."

She walks over and looks in the mirror. "Looking for somthing? All I see is an adorable boy."

My eyebrows knit together.

"Somthing troubling you sweetheart?" Looking at me she frowns.

"I..I..Its nothing." I can't throw my emotions on her like that...its my emotional baggage.

"You sure?" She looks concerned. Why does everyone look at me like that?

"Yeah..uh...see you later Vesper." I cannot be a burden, no one must feel pain from my stupid emotions..
