"moving day"

11:39 Jan 26 2005
Times Read: 582

My mother and I had just moved into our new house, it was huge. The house was yellow with white trimming. I hadn’t even had my first day at my new school yet. I was up in my room when I heard a rapping on my door.

“Come in” I knew who it was. There was only my mom and I. I was an only child but I loved it. I didn’t have to share my mama with anyone.

“Well what do you think”? She had the kindest voice, even when she was angry she still sounded like she was still calm.

“Its ok, but how long are we going to stay here? We are always moving. Will I be able to make friends this time”?

“Well that is one of the things I wanted to talk to you about. How long do you want to stay here”?

“You mean that we can stay here, that we don’t have to move anymore”.

“That’s right.” My mother said smiling. I was so happy.

“Does this mean that we can get a cat?” With all the traveling I had never had an animal.

“We can get all the cats that you want just no more than 2”.

I am a 13-year-old girl that has never had more than two friends because my mother and I travel all the time. The cool thing about that is that I have been to almost all fifty states. I am not sure why we where always traveling, all my mom would say is that it was because of her job. I had decided to sit outside to write, I loved writing. If I lost my notebook I would just melt. I could hear the footsteps of someone approaching.

“Hi, are you new”? No I have been here sixty-five years. To bad I couldn’t say that.

“Yeah just moved in this morning.”

"love and peace"

11:36 Jan 26 2005
Times Read: 583

Love and peace. What does it mean? When you hear the phrase “love and peace” what do you think of? The old lady on the porch singing and sewing missing someone she well never sees again. Or maybe the young man getting the cat out of the tree? Or the soldiers across the seas protecting us well who are protecting them. Soldiers are dying and for what. We don’t care. Now some do, don’t get me wrong. But what about the fifteen year old child with a three year old baby who is going to protect the baby from all the drugs, sex, and murder that her mother has gotten her into. What then. Or who is going to protect the old lady on the porch from drive by shootings. Or the young man from getting jumped by a gang. I believe that there is good in every one. They just don’t know it. They would rather be a hard ass then try to by nice to some one, and they would rather get killed or get there child taken away then stay in school and actually learn something for once. I may just be a child but I know about life and a lot of the pains out there. I know what drugs and sex can do to a girl. I know what it is like to lose a loved one or six loved ones in one year. Now if you pull that trigger or jump of that bridge you are not only letting people down you are hurting the ones you love. Like your child or children or your mother or father. What if tomorrow never comes does your mother know you love her. I know mine does. Love and peace. Do you know what it means? Do you care to even think about love and peace? Do you even care when someone dyes, someone you don’t even know. Just because you don’t know them that does not mean that people are in pain. People are in pain everyday. Is it that we don’t notice or we don’t care? Just a simple hello might make there day. Or the old man asking for money. Just imagine what one dollar might do for him, you just might make his world a little bet more brighter.

Fear

11:33 Jan 26 2005
Times Read: 584

She catches a glimpse of a dark shadow moving in the back of the room. She is huddling in the corner afraid. She does not know why but she senses she should be very

afraid of it; she is crying. All of a sudden there is a bump from the back. She cried more.

“Erin” said a deep, growling voice, which made Erin shiver.

“What do you want?” she screamed trying to be brave.

“Don’t yell at me, little girl!” The man came into the light, Erin gasped in shock. He was tall about 6’1”, he was white like a ghost, his eyes were red like blood, he was dressed in all black. He looked like her father. All of a sudden the fireplace came on, and she looked at it. When she turned back he was gone.

Erin ran into the kitchen and got the gun. It was empty! Then the lights flickered and he was a couple of feet in front of her. She ran to the other counter and got some bullets. Finally, she got it loaded and fired until all the bullets where gone. Blood was everywhere, and then, he started to laugh.

“Erin silly girl, thought you where smarter than that. You see I can’t die.” He chuckled. He started to laugh once more

“I’m alive and your not,” Erin started saying over and over again.

“But Erin I am alive.” The man lied. He walked up to her. She had nowhere to go. She was trapped. She tried to scream but all she could do was whisper. “ Who ever you are you are not my father.”

“Don’t be so sure.” He said laughing

“Please don’t hurt m-.” It was to late. He had already broken her neck, and as her limp body slid to the ice cold, dark ground the creature said “Good night my princess.” Then it disappeared like an outline in the night searching for its next victim.
