this is one of my peoples legends, it's one of the most beautifull ones and it part true (they say that all legend are part true, but i think this one is about 80 % truth)

k, here it goes:



They say that one day, in a wolf pack saw the day light a wolf. It was the birth thatthey all've been was wayting for - the birth of the leader's son, but they all were extremlly disappointed. The leader's son was different, he wasn't grey like all the others, he was white.

It didn't mater to them that he was the fastest, the strongest, the bravest and that he was the best hunter of them all, they only saw that he was different. And so they started treating him like a paria, like unwanted.

The elders say that one day, the first king of our ancesters, was deeply wounded in battle and that none of his soccerers knew the cure, only one insignificant woman knew that the white wolf can bring then the cure.

They say that back then, humans were able to understand animal language and so the king's son went deep into the forest to find the white wolf and begg him for his help.

Nobody knows what happened next, all they know is that the king was saved by the white wolf and since that day the white wolf became protector of our people.

They also say that flag of DACIA was made in that day as a reminder of the white wolf's help.

Some agree and some desagree, but i know that the white wolf is still out there, protecting us and wayting for the day when all romanians will remember how to listent to his roar and how to answer him back.
