After the effects had worn off, the original catalyst has yet to return. Instead, willful ignorance, fueled by petty recklessness seems to be the name of the game. I would say the only difference is that children themselves have an excuse, as there is the potential to learn.
So instead of expecting others to change, and making the mistake of asking for help, I find increasingly, that I simply complete the task myself (from start to finish) the moment there is a sig(h/n) of reluctance from anyone else. However, that does not mean that all options shouldn't be weighed. What it does mean is that the desire to avoid effort is now a pattern, and a predictable one at that. You can babysit yourselves, whether you have the motivation/ability or not.
Expectations become obstacles. Obstacles are nothing more than manifestations meant to be crushed under thumb, and turned to dust. Unfortunately, obstacles aren't always inanimate.
The only patience lost is for that which perceptually wastes my time without a gainful end.
Interpret that as you may.
