The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I know it's been a while and I did promise to keep you up to date with the concerts I attended...so here goes:



The Placebo concert was, of course, great. I mean there I was standing in front of Placebo. Who in their right mind is going to complain about that...

But.

They played mostly new album. I don't like the new album. I listened to it over and over trying to get into it and knowing they would play a fair chunk of it I wanted to at least know what they were playing.

Some of the songs I knew and could sing along to, no problems. But it just wasn't the Placebo I know and love.

The highlights were when they played The Bitter End and Special K. I was very happy I at least got to jump up and down to those.

Overall, not the best concert I have ever seen.



The Pearl Jam concert was also...great!

I, not being the biggest Pearl Jam fan in the world, enjoyed it. My sister, on the other hand, was more disappointed than I was, as she has always been the bigger fan.

Eddie Vedder puts on a great show. The songs were true to the versions I have heard. They played Daughter and Nothingman, Alive and Last Kiss.

They also played mostly new album which I am not very familiar with, only heard it a dozen times or so. World Wide Suicide being the one they play on the radio all the time.

Now what would you say is the best, or at least one of the best Pearl Jam songs, one that everybody would know?

Anyone?

Would you say Better Man?

I would have.

They DIDN'T play it.

Major disappointment! I just wanted to hear that song.

Aside from that, it was all in all a good show. They came back for two encores, the 2nd being with the lights on! I have never seen that before.

So still not the best show I have seen, but good. Very glad I went.
