Chapter 1

Life has been different since 4th grade. Everything changed and everything seemed to go to hell really fast. I wish I could take it all back and say forget it. But I can’t and now I’m stuck with it until he kills me. I’m looking for my 4th self…Aqua. She may never come so I’ll be stuck with Pixie and Rayne for now. But waiting is still very frustrating for me. Lately we’ve been feeling a new presence around town and it’s not a good one. We got lucky that Wolft, Hisst, and Centaur came to stay in town with us so as not to disturb Saffron’s coming. But we need to find out who he is this time. Ten thousand years is a long time and he needs to get use to the environment since the ancient times of guardians. But I guess I should explain how it all came to be.

After killing Arthas, she appeared and killed me. About a thousand years later, I came back and killed the new her; Kerrigan…Arthas’ creation and mate. She wouldn’t come back until Saffron came back…that was Arthas’ downfall. Now he could suffer just as much as me until they come back. I guess it was really worth killing her. She destroyed my life and I destroyed hers. Now I’m an ordinary high school student waiting for Saffron and trying not to kill everyone in sight.

“Jessie, come on! We’re going to be late!”

“Coming!”

That’s Rachel, Jessie’s best friend whom she carpools with every morning just so they can get to early bird on time. They need a bus instead but it works. Rachel doesn’t know about me or Rayne nor has Jessie told her. No one knows except Chase, Lance, and Darris. All three of them have a guardian in them too so it kind of works out and they came here to us to protect us until we have Aqua. We need to find her soon and fast before Saffron comes out.

Jessie and Rachel run into the school together and part their ways at the crossroads in the school; Rachel to Consumer Ed and Jessie to Ceramics. Jessie walks in the door to an empty room…again.

*Sighs “Rachel got us here really this time. I’ll have to tell her to stop worrying about being late all the time.”

Jessie walks all the way across the room to her seat and take the chair off the table. She then proceeds to walk around the room taking the other chairs off the other tables for everyone. Then the teacher walks in.

“You’re here early Jessica.”

“One word…Rachel.”

“Ah. That explains it. Well it’s sometimes good that she gets you here so early sometimes.”

“Sometimes too early.”

“You had a piece in the kiln that’s ready to come out. Go unload it for me will you?”

“Sure.”

The teacher leaves out the door to go to the Fine Arts Office to do some organizing. Jessie walks into the kiln room only to find a weird presence in the room. Something new yet something so familiar. She walks over to the kiln and opens it up just in time to feel a blast of heat come from the kiln.

“It’s a good thing it was cold in here.”

Jessie puts on some gloves and opens the kiln up the rest of the way. Something catches her eyes…Aqua. Someone or something made an Aqua statue. A quick breeze comes in from an un-open window in the next room and the lights go out. Jessie is able to see with her vampire eyes and sees Arthas…and in his hands…Aqua!

“Give her back Arthas!”

“Now why would you want this little statue, hmm? Why if I can tell by the face it is Aqua. Now how did you manage to hide her from me this long Pixie or should I say Rayne by the look in your eyes? I can tell you’ve been looking for her for quite some time haven’t you? Well?”

“Why do you want Aqua Arthas?”

“Because of what you did to Kerrigan! I want my revenge and I know you can’t get the rest of yours until you have Aqua with you!”

“I wouldn’t have killed her if she hadn’t killed Saffron! I loved Saffron like you loved me and Kerrigan! You had no right to take him away from me!”

“No right!? You pranced around at the beginning of time because you were one of the head guardians. And I know that Aqua was the fifth guardian you and Saffron created so I said to myself, why not just destroy Aqua before she comes out of her prison? It’ll make my life a lot easier until Saffron comes back and I can kill him too. And then me and Kerrigan and rule the world with Saffron and Aqua out of the way and the four of you on your way out.”

“How did you know that she was the fifth guardian?”

“Wasn’t it obvious the way you treated her? She was like a daughter to you, except now that you have two daughters and a son of your own. Saffron thought of her as a daughter and when he was gone, both of you cried for days. Except that you came after me and killed me. Then my creation, Kerrigan, came and killed you. I could see from where I was that Aqua was heart broken. She had lost both of her “parents” within the same week. The other three guardians didn’t know what to do. Her last words were, “When Saffron and Pixie come back at the same time, I will return to her.” And looky here. Here’s Aqua and standing right in front of me is Pixie; the mother of guardians and certainly the queen with no king by her side.”

“Give me her back now!”

“What are you going to do to me, hmm?”

“How about this!”

Out of nowhere, swords come out of Jessie’s wrists and cut off Arthas’ hand that is holding Aqua. Aqua drops to the floor only to be caught by Jessie who then runs past Arthas and out the door and down the hall.

“Jessie! Over here!”

“Chase! Finally. He’s here…and so is Aqua.”

“Aqua!”

“Yeah. Right here.”

Holds up ceramic statue.

“That’s what she would come back as? Hmmm. Maybe Saffron will be here soon too.”

“Well that doesn’t matter right now. We need to get out of here. He’s right behind me! We need to get out of here with Aqua in one piece.”

“Okay. Follow me.”

Jessie and Chase run towards the band room where it is the neutral room. No fighting allowed in there even with Arthas around. The band director is not here yet because he does not have early bird today.

“Shit. The one day I need him here to be early for once!”

“Now where to Jessie!?”

“Let’s try these doors over here. At least from there we can run to the football field and fly.”

“Yeah. Let’s go.”

Jessie and Chase run towards the doors that lead outside. A big spider/demon like creature stands blocking the path with Arthas standing on top of the lockers smiling at the fact that he has them trapped. No one can see the spider/demon like creature or Arthas standing on the lockers. Time has frozen in this world and the only ones that are able to move are the guardians and the forgotten ones that use to be controlled by the guardians.

“Fight or not?

Starts laughing.

“You really think you can beat this? *Pointing to the spider/demon creature.* Try him on for size. Get the statue!”

The creature runs towards Jessie and nearly grabs Aqua. Chase fires a ball of ice at the creature. It is hurdled back at the lockers and slowly gets back up.

“Let’s go!” Chase yells.

“Uh hu.”

The two of them run outside and towards the stadium football field only to encounter another forgotten one in the air. Jessie hurls a fireball at it and is knocked down out of the air for only a moment before it gets back up and challenges them again. Chase hurls another iceball at the creature and it goes down longer this time. They nod to each other to keep moving. They reach the field and start running even faster. Ice forms around Chase and he takes flight in the form of a wolf/angel like creature and fly’s toward the sky. Fire forms around Jessie and Aqua, but not harming her, and takes flight as a magnificent dragon/human like creature into the sky following Chase. They are flying towards some lakes to the east where they know they are safe to dive into and go to their island where the rest of the guardians are waiting for them. They dive into the lake at massive speeds and come out of a tropical rainforest lake in their human forms and with Aqua intact.

“Hey guys! There you are finally!”

“Why did you take so long Chase?”

“Shut up Lance. We had a few issues with Arthas this time. He found Jessie with Aqua at her school. It took us a little longer than usual to get here because of him.”

“That explains it. Then again, Arthas just hates us.”

“Yeah, no kidding Darris. It’s just so weird that she would show up like this. I can’t remember her saying that she would come back in this form, but then again she said all of this after I was killed.”

“Yeah…it was really bad after all that. Everyone on earth started killing everyone in wars. Now look what year it is and still more murders everywhere.”

“Now that Aqua is back, guess who will be coming too besides Saffron?”

Together “Kerrigan.”

“We need to put Aqua somewhere safe until she decides to come out and join us again.”

“Yeah…but who is she going to bond with to get out? That’s out major problem right now besides Arthas showing up and Kerrigan and Saffron on their way.”

“Hey Jessie…have you found Saffron yet?”

“No, not yet Lance. I’m still looking. I knew he wouldn’t show up until Aqua has bonded and right now she’s still a statue.”

“Why don’t you bond with her Jessie? She sees you as a mother figure anyway. Then we can find Saffron.”

“Maybe Darris…maybe. But how do we get her out of this?”

Together “Hmmm.”

“What’s her element Jessie?”

“We never discovered that part when we made her. She was to discover it for herself over time but she turned herself into something else before she could discover it. It really is sad. How about we make her come out and contain her in an elemental field until we can find out her element?”

“I can agree to that. What about you too.”

Both Lance and Darris. “Sure.”

Prologue

Ten thousand years have past since I saw the light of day. I had him and he took him away. Now I’m trapped in the body of a 17 year old girl. A witch as a matter of fact. Who would have thought that the queen of guardians to get this girl. And she knows my life story. That was the scary part, especially since I came to her. She needed me when her grandmother died, and there I was. Saffron won’t be reincarnated until her junior year of high school…but the time has come and he hasn’t shown himself yet. Arthas, Wolft, Hisst, and Centaur have been reborn already. Arthas followed us over here but the other guardians are waiting just in case he makes a move.

It all started with the creation of time and space itself. The One created two beings; Saffron and me, Pixie. We were to create four more in our likeness. We did and that is where the other four come in. Arthas became jealous of Saffron and developed a plot to kill Saffron and take me away. We fought valiantly until Arthas killed Saffron and I killed Arthas. The legend was that Saffron would be reincarnated in 10,000 years. It has been 10,000 years and Saffron has not returned yet…
