The Week of HELL

My Week Of HELL began Monday morning when after finishing up my morning cleaning job I returned to my car to discover that my club key was missing. I had a second job to get to but couldn’t move the car. Can you say EXTREMELY IRATE ITALIAN???? Yes it was a sight that no one really heard or saw as I was inside my car and it was still relatively early. Turned out the BF had taken the key and hadn’t told me. After an extraordinary yelling match with the BF(who was at work), I called my second client and rescheduled for Tuesday. The BF showed up later that evening with said key.

Tuesday started with my usual cleaning job, which I cruised thru at amazing speed knowing I had another long drive ahead of me. For all those who will appreciate it, think driving from center city Philly to Jenkintown and then to Media and back to CC Philly. All that with no stops and two cleaning jobs, (I ate my little sandwich on the drive to Media) Got home and while unloading the car somehow I hit the rearview mirror knocking it completely off.

Wednesday got up early to go to the Strauss to get another mirror and glue. (It would make too much sense to sell them together right?) Got to my first cleaning job and called the BF to put on the new mirror. (he owed me right?) He gets to where I am and proceeds to glue the button on backwards. (The thing the mirror assembly sits on that gets glued to the windshield) He swears up and down he did it right and the part is defective. I proceeded to my second job and for the first time since I started cleaning, I break a little vase. Can you say MELTDOWN?? Luckily I have great clients. Afterwards I’m back to the Strauss and the BF calls saying get an oil change. Fine. The mechanic tells me the sway rods are broken (And that’s what was producing the clunking sound when I made turns) and are rubbing against the axel. Lucky they didn’t break the axel. Blah Blah Blah. $195 later the car is fixed up but they couldn’t get the button off and put another one next to the backwards one. I drive off and the mirror won’t stay still but by now it’s after 6 pm, I’m starving and dead tired so home I go.

Thursday, early client and my mirror has half fallen off the windshield. Finish up cleaning and get all my supplies to the car and suddenly think, “Where are my car keys?” OH Holy Crap… Did I leave them inside the now locked clients place? Can you say MOMENT of TORTURED PANIC?? But Hallelujah, They had fallen deep inside my purse. With my head exploding, I returned to the Strauss and showed them the mirror which had been applied to the glass with double sided tape – I paid for glue. (this was the second time) So the guy fixes the new button alongside the other (the backwards one) and tells me to not put the mirror on til tomorrow. Fine. I head to my sister’s place and spend the remainder of the day attempting to relax but my week is hardly over. We were heading down the stairs and I slipped and fell. YEP. I fell down the steps, not too far but still. In pain even after ice, I drove home. I planned not to touch the car at all or even go outside Friday for fear of my life.

Friday - The BF came and put the mirror on. I stayed in nursing a beautiful bruise the size of Alaska on my thigh and painful elbows. I didn’t have another job til the following Tuesday and was thrilled by that.

Things still aren’t going my way and I’m still having aftershocks from that week. I’m sooo very tired. This weekend is the craft show in Wildwood NJ. Been painting up stuff for it. Not any kind of VACA. Hope I can relax somewhere in there. Wish me better LUCK.

Day Off???? Yeah Right!!!

One of my cleaning clients canceled last night so I have today to myself, well, not really. Spike still woke me at 6 am for food. This after feeding them late! I had also called the vet last night after finding out about the cancelation so I was at the vet this morning, luckily they queezed me in. Ming's mouth is infected and Buddy was sneezing so bad and was scaring me acting very lathargic last night. So now, $200 later, I have ammoxi for them and will need to schedule Ming for another dental. He has almost no teeth on one side of his mouth so now they're going for the other side where the infection happened. OH JOY. Ming is my 14 year old. Buddy is 2 and a Hemmingway kitty. There are 4 more in my feline bunch - Theo is 7, Celia is 5, Ceta is 6 and Spike (the alarm clock of the bunch) is 17. YES 17!!

With all the hours I've been putting in, I'm setting about cleaning up and strainghting in here. My place has been SOOOOOO neglected. There are dishes screaming my name and you can't see my kitchen table under all the accumulated crap. Cleaning will help in keeping me sane and keeping whatever brain cells I have left alive...HAHA See!!!... so much for my day off. I'm completely booked up til Sunday. And then it starts all over again....ARRRGHHH!!!!!!!
