It never ends
what better way to learn about a song than to have the people who wrote it break it down for you.
“something Grimm” is our representation of life.
the ever binding vicious cycle of being.
its not just love,its hate,its sadness,and its frustration.
and then,at the end,it DOES prevail,and the little things in life remind you why you should keep living,why you should get out of bed everyday,why you should fearlessly be yourself and not let anyone impose on that empowerment.
From the beginning of the song
“once a upon a never,you were the reason i lived”
now - just because “you” is in the sentence,doesn’t necessarily mean its targeted towards one person. its actually using the word to some up our society.
because we believe in living for yourself,and your happiness depends on you. and we don’t do anything to appease it.
moving forward
“everyone knows fairytales don’t exist,hoping you could prove that love actually did”
this meaning im not going to play naive in my lifeforbidden,i know that is accepted by few,and im okay without that,but it shows i have a faith,and/or a hope for humanity,to be continuously let down by society,but i still keep a positive thought about it.
you’ll the second verse is the complete opposite opening line
“once upon a time,you were the reason i lived.”
this is the first step in moving forward,admitting that you’ve let other have an influence on who you are as a person.
“i don’t want to grow old and miserable like you”
meaning, theres always someone who didn’t choose to live their life for happiness,someone who didn’t choose their own path,and for them,i give my sympathy, but those people are always the ones to have the first say in telling you how to live,and i find it, IRONIC.
The chorus.

look inside yourself,and release that person inside who so desperately wants to be apart of your world.
“You cry for help,its something Grimm”
No one like to vulnerable,no one likes to ask for help,because we humans have too pride within ourselves. but you have to realize that the people that LOVE you are there to help you through anything,they aren’t ALWAYS there to hurt you.
show compassion,show weakness,show love.
