I have to agree with Jo on this one. It is very well written. A love saga could be written around this easily.

A smile flashes her lips

Rose petals caress her cheeks

Her eyes do not match

The mood her body seeks

Patience is waning

And she sits upon hands

Inside she is screaming

"Get me out of this sham!"

But she dares not betray

The act she's put on

So she sits and she wonders

"How long 'til I'm gone?"

This scene plays before her

Thousands of times she's seen

How the men will all falter

At the girl being keen

She's the answer they want

Or so the fools think

Her skill is the game

No company, she keeps

Yet again they return

Faithful as foolish sheep

She smiles her candied lips

Laughs with a punished ease

The madness at tongue tip

Joy is lost to the tease

Her will is her way

Never revealing the fears

She will triumph this day

And tonight lose to tears

It's been a busy month

I'll write when I can

I have so much to say

The weeks of finals,

Holidays,

Everything else

My notebook feels neglected

As does my mind

I'll find the spark of inspiration

In the calm of the night

Until then my friends

Enjoy my nonsense words

Just filling up space
