The Endless Thirst

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your moist, warm breath upon my skin
Ignites a pulsing flame within.
Words can't describe the burn I feel.
My world is false, but you are real.
One lasting taste, one fatal kiss
Will leave me in eternal bliss.
You know your power over me,
So why prolong my misery?
I can't withstand your deadly lure.
My life is yours. Of that, I'm sure.
So when you choose to seal my fate,
It will be worth the gruelling wait.
Sun
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Light pours forth on blinded eyes.
I face the truth of my demise.
I'll not resist, though pain is strong -
The ending notes of one last song.
Deprived of thought, my mind is numb.
At last this final day has come.
The hand of death wraps 'round my throat
As devils cloaked in sorrow float
Around my body, scorched by sin,
But I won't let the demons in.
The image of your face appears.
I cannot wipe away your tears.
They fall so gently to the ground
And say so much yet make no sound.
I reach out toward the brilliant sky.
I've lived enough. Now let me die.
I Dream of Vampires
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The dark engulfs my silent world,
And night becomes my home,
I stare into the black I love,
And endlessly I roam.
With each new turn I drift away...
I'm lost and can't return.
Yet oddly, I don't really mind.
There's much for me to learn.
But somehow there is something wrong,
It's not enough for me.
I'm not allowed to have my peace
Until I wake to see
The one thing that will make my life
Much better than before.
Although I don't know what it is,
I want it even more.
I search the darkness aimlessly
And know not what I seek.
My effort seems to be in vain,
But then appears Monique.
Through the mist as if a dream
She forms within my sight.
With glowing eyes and arms outstretched,
She pushes back the night.
No words escape her blood red lips,
And yet she calls to me.
She traps me with seductive stare -
I feel no need to flee.
My flesh and soul belong to her.
I can't deny her now.
I find myself in front of her
Bent deeply in a bow.
With one hand underneath my chin,
She lifts my face to hers.
Like a hungry but contented cat,
She sighs, and then she purrs.
Slowly her red lips start to part,
Revealing fangs of death.
With no protest at all from me
She sucks out my last breath.
For I Am Hers
The Endless Thirst
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I awaken in my icy tomb,
Imprisoned by its walls.
I cry for you to set me free,
But no one hears my call.
Alone within the confines
Of this cold, damp concrete cell,
I find comfort in the darkness
Which shields me from my hell.
The pains of hunger eat at me.
My body's worn and weak.
I feel the stinging in my eyes
As a tear streams down my cheek.
Tinted with a tinge of red,
The tear stops at my lips.
I close my eyes and think of you.
Your light has been eclipsed.
I can almost taste your blood,
So rich and filled with life...
My teeth piercing your silky flesh
As if they were a knife.
The perfect drink - so warm and lush -
Would make me feel alive...
It's essence permeating me,
My immortal soul revived.
But alas it will not happen
For you are nowhere near.
I've waited countless days and nights
In hopes that you'll appear.
I pray someday it will come true,
And you will be my feast.
Until then, I must still remain
A lone, blood-thirsty beast.
The Sweetest Kill
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My movements make no sound.
My footsteps quick and light...
I glide on down the darkened street
Accompanied by night.
Passing mortal strangers
Who look the other way,
I'm intoxicated by their scent.
These creatures are my prey.
I stop beneath a streetlamp
Where they can view my face.
Seeing my unnatural skin,
They soon quicken their pace.
Their cowardess amuses me.
Those eyes so full of fear.
I throw my head back, and I laugh
For all of them to hear.
Stepping from the light,
I'm hidden by the dark.
Continuing along my path,
I reach a lonely park.
Sitting on a wooden bench,
A girl cries silently.
Her face is streaked with salty tears.
She fails to notice me.
Her eyes are tightly shut.
Her body shakes with sobs,
Yet still I hear her beating heart.
Within her chest, it throbs.
Slowly, I approach her
Until I'm by her side.
Admiring her tender cheeks,
I see her tears have dried.
I move my face in towards her neck
And hover for awhile.
Much to my surprise, I see
Her frown turn to a smile.
She looks directly at me,
Her eyes of deepest blue...
With the softest lips I've ever seen
She mouths the words "Thank you."
I sink my teeth into her flesh.
On blood is what I thrive.
I drink till I can drink no more.
Again, I am alive.
Merciful Dance
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Writhing bodies clad in black
Flow past me as I stare.
Like beacons on a stormy sea
The lights around them flare.
Leather, velvet, metal, lace -
These ornaments they don,
Yet their necks remain unclothed
For me to gaze upon.
Swirling through the smoke-filled air,
The music lifts their soul.
Succumbing to this sonic drug,
Their minds have lost control.
I pull my cloak in close to me
And drift into the crowd.
I search each ghoulish painted face
As death looms like a cloud.
My angel's face appears to me
Amidst the swaying mass.
I glide to her through sound and haze,
Ignoring those I pass.
My eyes fixate upon her skin -
So smooth, so soft, so white...
Her naked arms flail wildly.
She waltzes with the night.
I reach out, and I touch her hair
Which has fallen in her eyes.
She sees me for the first time now
And jumps back in surprise.
I grasp her hand and pull her near.
She's powerless to my touch.
I feel her warmth flow into me.
I want her blood so much.
But I can bring no harm to her,
Despite my deadly urge.
As I stand there with my love,
My heaven and hell converge.
I cannot make her who I am
To live eternally,
Feeding off the innocent
As they die painfully.
And so I share a final dance
With her before I go.
I kiss her lips once, turn away,
And let my hunger grow.
No More

Untitled
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How curious the light behaves
Reflecting off the dancing waves.
Oh how my very being craves
A view from down below.
Suspended in my watery lair,
I would not need to gasp for air,
For I'm no longer human there
Beneath the icy flow.
It's peaceful there, but I have found
I still can hear the distant sound
Of voices of the souls who drowned
And left loved ones to mourn.
The lonely wails transmit the pain
Of those who just could not remain
So journeyed to the unknow plane
Of dead souls and unborn.
But in this world there still exist
Survivors who will always miss
The passion of their lovers' kiss
That warmed them night and day.
Though here above the vast, cold sea,
My heart is without tragedy,
For I have someone dear to me
Who hasn't passed away.
Never let that be untrue,
For I could not bear thoughts of you
Trapped underneath the ocean blue
Deprived of your last breath.
No harm to you would I condone,
For I'd be left here on my own
To face this tragic world alone,
A fate far worse than death.
Tammy's Poems
Stone
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The recesses of this darkened cell
Bring my senses to an obscure Hell
That chokes me with its hardened stone
Against my cheek, chilled to the bone.
My eyes are weak; they stare into
A pit - air of the darkest hue.
My cell, though safe, is nothingness -
Its walls are damp. No soft caress
Against my skin, no snug embrace,
No euphoric glance 'pon my victim's face.
So here I lay, stone is my shroud.
Far away, lost within a crowd
Of wails and sighs from long ago
That only make my hunger grow.
Madness etched into the stone:
A thousand wails, yet all alone.
Lost
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hollow footsteps, cloaked by night
Of sadness known through tortured sight;
The willow weeps for solitude
As Owl moans a gloomy interlude.
- Reflection in the glossy lake
"If I should die before I wake..."
A tear shatters the silent face
That seeks solace in this deserted place.
Wind whispers through the willow's leaves,
And Owl, perched high, silently grieves.
The glow from city lights afar
Swallow whole a falling star.
A wish upon the trembling lips
For peace. A raven gently sips
The water near his honored guest,
But soon flies to his hidden nest.
Weary beneath the flowing cloak,
The traveller rests against an oak
And fights the lure of heavenly sleep
-"I pray the Lord my soul to keep..."
Forever lost, each journey taken
Plagues the mind; the nights awaken
Troubled visions, thoughts of yesterdays,
That seem like beacons - lives away.
Random comforts cannot ease this soul,
For knowledge takes its weary toll
'Pon one who suffers with each breath,
Who slept once in peace, then awoke in death.
Stranger
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deep within my hungry soul raged a tormented beast
Who yearned for freedom, wings to fly; its moaning never ceased.
In darkest hours of sullen nights as shrouded as the dead,
Tears sprang up from my fragile wounds and drowned me in my bed.
I cried out in vain.
The beast won again.
A fingertip 'pon dampened cheek roused me, one night, from dream.
Although I feared another in my world, I did not scream
But rather gazed into these eyes that drew me to a sea
Embellished with angelic song. With wings spread, I was free.
The beast made no sound.
All sorrows had drowned.
Some kind of angel was this man who freed me from torment.
My wings alighted 'pon a blissful breeze his Love had sent.
No dread, no night, could haunt me now; I'd banished Loneliness;
All thoughts of fear, sad memories, now paled beside his kiss.
Entwined within my lover's arms I no longer fear the night.
He's given me the wind; he's opened up the cage. I've taken flight.
From high above majestic oaks, the world's a lonely place.
But all the hope I'll ever need rests in my lover's face.
This Stranger crossed my path one day...
Night in Dementia
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I turn to face the setting sun,
It burns into my eyes
And awakens every sorrow's breath
To yield my soul's demise.
I sink into an ageless mire
Of scorn, and hate, and lust;
I soon pass into nothingness
And dance freely 'mongst the dust
Of countless eras passed away
That share my mindless gloom,
Each one's evil intentions
Concealed beneath perfume.
Behind a glass, night summons me
To dance with visions gold;
Each one a promise of my fate
But misfortunes untold.
But I, awakened by my sight,
Must beckon night to flee;
As I return to nothingness
And slowly cease to see.
The Endless Thirst - The Response
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A chilly winter's night, I feel
A stinging in my heart.
You cry for me, within your tomb.
My lips quiver, then they part
(-- But only muffled sobs escape.)
I feel your aching body wrapped
In a heartless granite shell,
We both endure this loneliness -
This barren, choking Hell.
But then, to nothingness I soar,
The night wind is my guide.
Forever drawn to your impulse,
From your call, I cannot hide.
My blood, my flesh, are offerings
Of boundless passion that can heal.
I envision rapture, lost in you,
In delirium, I feel
Your breath upon my pulsing chest,
Your hands caressing me.
Dark Angel - take my innocence
And forever set me free.
A breeze... my senses now awake.
In darkness now I scream.
I tumble down cold granite steps
But land softly, as in a dream.
Dark Angel, I answer your painful cry
After endless weary nights -
Upon the threshold of your tomb
My heart, my soul, alights.
