How is that that some people press their beliefs on people assume that the person they are pitching to has never followed their path? Finding the path to way ward in some aspect, people turn away from religions, as well as philosopies, some times for a different one, or for for no belief.

Indeed because they believe that everyone likes that path.

Ignorance... People tend to follow the religion they were taught as children. Grandma told 'em they'd go to hell if they didn't! And by God, you'll go to if'n you don't listen to me Mister!

My Ghost Takes Me To the Movies

19:58 Sep 29 2008
Times Read: 880

My Ghost Takes Me To the Movies.

I ended up in two movies last night, two movies appealing to my ghost, Miracle At St. Anna, and Ghost Town.

First was Miracle.. A very fast flowing movie that skims over nothing essential to the plot. It hints at nothing, however the progressive theme becomes bolder toward the end.

Ghost Town, A reminder that any movie with a British Actor Playing a character that comes to America is usually going to be good, especially if it is a comedy. This movie presented something to me that I have often pondered before, I will spare the spoiler. Both where well worth, Ghosting into the theater.

The Third peek.. Tropical Thunder.. that was a torturous 5 min. actually.

Screw Sylvia Brown

19:01 Sep 24 2008
Times Read: 898

The hack Sylvia Brown, and all the people that buy her hack scripted books, pasted together from motivational, and religious tracts. She is a three time loser.. her minisrty has been investigated time and again, she has been told to stop charging for private "sessions" so she went on Montel, Screw Him as well, he lost any credibility with that move. What is it about this hag that appeals to people? she has her people knock people out of the way that come to talk to her? AShe is presumtious during her reading. She has become jaded in her practice (using cold reading, and hot reading.. wake the fuck up idiots, and ask your self what it is you are giving this hack bitch power over, and what she scrapes together with that so called gift, a wrapped turd, that she passes off as your loved one.. how preciously sick..

She sets them up to be updated in cycles, then calls it a new book, it is just cut and paste rehash actually. She has plenty of flak from the establish "medium" community as well.

I have been reading some of the most obvious provoking post in the forums, are people really that ignorant? I actually thought that at first, but then I noticed the contradiction.. inflamitory bait, the only reason these people post is to change things from a discussion to an attention seeking debate. So they can pick sides.. that is so Pathological.. people that have no social skills can only revert to dramatic ploys. I will start posting these little propagation post..

Is this too reactionary?

23:19 Sep 20 2008
Times Read: 938

People that believe in ghost existing are delusional, people that claim to see ghost are pathological.

They fumble around in the dark, just like cavemen, everything they experience is paranormal, they cannot, or will not accept any other explaination.

Is this such a shocking statement?

Now then why do believers throw around crash statements that people who are not believers are closed minded?

Or unenlightened.

I liken what they call open minds to a house with the door open 24/7, just let anything blow in of the street right? No screen door either.

What is claimed to be enlightenment appears to some as a deer in headlights. Every trick of perception , or artificially created illusions, is astonishing to believers, well any thing that is felt is not spiritual in nature, so separate your open mind from your starving spirit, and never call a person closed minded. I don't tolerate Religious people telling me I am going to Hell either. What makes followers of the occult think they are any different then Religions?

Anyone who is too quick to believe something is one thing or another could be seen as closed-minded. If someone sees a shadow and insists it's a ghost is just as closed as the person who sees the shadow and refuses to believe it's anything but a shadow. True open-mindedness is the ability to consider possibilities other than the one your mind instantly jumps to :-D

The line between being able to imagine, and insisting on belief, that is where I am confronted. I can entertain other possibilities, but I have believed.. to no avail, it becomes about accepting beliefs rather then creatively observing the senses being fooled.

I would accept that all forms of superstition can be harmful to those who hold them. We could all name off a half-dozen nationally known tragedies which stem from belief in superstitions. I tend to think they're popular for some because people want to believe they are enlightened. The reality is that believing in ghosts and spirits cannot be shown to be other than the level of enlightenment which lead us into the Dark Ages. Believing without evidence is a delusion, nothing more. And if the evidence is all subjective, it's most likely to be the imagination leading rationality rather than rationality filtering the imagination.

What does "keeping an open mind" have to do with the soul?

22:41 Sep 18 2008
Times Read: 952

people say keep an open mind, in regards to spiritual matters/claims. I am puzzled. people claim to have seen (in their presence, or accept someones account of some claim.. on "faith' yet there is evidence.. Faith is belief without evidence, a spirituality, or philosophy that has "physical presentations" is pleasing to the senses, there fore it is sensationalism. The senses can be fooled, individually and together as well. So anybody that claims to have witness or has had someone account for some sensational demonstration of a "church" or group, are they actually in a faith, or at a performance of sensationalist?

After tens of thousands of years of keeping open minds, one has to ask how long the minds must be left open before the thoughts they collect begin to result in something resembling objective evidence.

So far the answer seems to be; forever.

In place of active creativity, beliefs are an appealing anchor for those that lack general social interaction skills. Not much challenge in conversing with people that share mysitical, or religious beliefs in common. It is a safe bet that conversation will be about some ones interpitation of a certain text, or tenant .

Why are they so caught up in claiming they can do things, and change something to prove they can?

Terrible Role Players

19:23 Sep 11 2008
Times Read: 973

How is it that every one that claims to have psychic powers is a lousy conversationalist?

I have an idea about that. A belief system is a common topic. If I am a Christian and I am alone and want someone to talk with I find someone.. now what to talk about? Well I better my chances if I find another Christian/spiritualist, Follower of The Flying Spaggetti Monster.. ect. I have no need to do the ackward breaking of the ice thing.

So role playing comes in, and just like sitting around a table with imaginary characters details are bond to clash.. and conflicting accepted "mechanics" are likely to occur.

I have read post here that scream of bad role playing, and others that share views with them eat their BS like ambroisa, I even bet some are mocking the others with topping their rhetorical digest/testimonies of their power/gift. for once I would like to hear someone speak of apllication of their gift, aside from entertaining.

Of Course I Am A Ghost

00:45 Sep 04 2008
Times Read: 984

Once again I have stood up for my existence, too a declared medium ! Early in the conversation she mentioned her open mindedness to spiritual entities, I asked her if she would be able to spot a ghost. She reply that she would, I mentioned that I am a ghost. She laughed.. she never asked me how I could be a ghost, she just laughed and said I was mocking her beliefs. I assure you I said I am a ghost. I asked her how spirits presented themselves to her, she said they mingle with people. I asked her what her definition of a ghost was, as well as how she imagined they interact with this world.. I fit her definition. The question I still have unanswered is, why did she feel I was mocking her?
