When a person is online it is good to remember that people rely on the anonymous nature of the internet.
There are red flags that one can spot if one pays enough attention.
One is when people use prefaces like "I hate, haters!" or as pointed out in a journal by deathnitegurl so well. "You don't want to see me angry."
These and other variations are all over-the-top preemptive language that indicates the creator of the profile has terrible social skills, and often has relationships deteriorate into confrontations.
They are best avoided. Along with people who come right out with declarations of being victimized, and tormented by e-bullies(most often with no record of the alleged messages). Sadly such people are the reason that those who are sincerely effected by e-bullies are received with such caution.
OK rant time! Let me put this down. If you are preoccupied don't initiate a conversation with someone! Simple. If you are in a message exchange with someone, and are called away, let them know. This is courteous. There is just way to many people cold messaging people, that simply cut out after a few messages, even Logging out! WTF?
In my marathon of Documentaries I have found a new respect for Metallica after watching "Mission To Lars" about a man with Fragile X Syndrome, and his siblings who set off from England to meet his favorite musician.
Wow the last two Documentaries I watched in my marathon were great. "Cat Fish" and "Craigslist Joe".
I totally recommend them.
