Yea, I won against the shady ass Computer repair place. Although I didn't get a full refund (I didn't expect one) I did get back more than half of my fee.



In part I think it was because I have always had a knack for negotiations (I get it from my mom). That and the fact that I stated that "Unless an agreement can be made, then I will be forced to report this unsatisfactory service to a consumer watchdog group." I also mentioned that settling now would beat paying court cost, and time off work appearing in civil court. In the end I got 30 of the 50 back. Although my computer still lags. Can you believe they said that although they charge 90 dollars for a factory reset.. (something that any novice, or rank amateur

can do on a laptop) yet he said an upgrade of Gigabyte is only 25 dollars. something is just so shady about that place.

with me, i can not afford to 'take my pc somewhere' to get fixed. never was able to, and problely never will. over the years, i got where i learned to fix my own pc. well mostly alot of parts. and able to install new hard drives and install new windows system programs on it. setting a pc to factory settings isn't a biggie either. in the long run, i just don't trust other people with my pc.



i have a few 'shops' like that in my area, people who think they know it all, and don't know dilly.

Blah, and Hex! Damn Computer repair place is trying to fleece me.

Right out the gate they lure me in with the low rate, then when I get there they lean on the "well it may have a virus, or malware, that will be more (20 bucks more) and they said it would take a few hours or until today in the morning.. so at 2.30 I call them.. they say it is "reloading" they will call me back in an hour.. two hours later I call.. she glibly states.. "My you are impatient." Then dig this they hit me up to add 1G more for 25 bucks more. (?) It is clear that my computer computed well enough before without an extra Gig so I get it back, and NOTHING CHANGED.. so how did they release it.. and what did he do with all that fucking time? Now they want 30 bucks to do a factory reset..(?!) As if they don't already owe me service.. they think that just because they removed alleged Malware that they are justified, and resolved of any liability. Blah, and Hex!
