I got such a laugh from this. Cats are very finicky little creatures. Next time you will have to tell her to bring wet food.

A Concise Summary At Last!

19:20 Apr 12 2010
Times Read: 779

What Vampyre means to you.

Outside of the lore.

What drew you to the conclusion that Vampyres exist?

Did you read something that significantly convinced you?

When, in your opinion did the concept originate?

What seperates Vampyres, from Vampire Lifestylers?

Who founded the Vampyre ideaology?

dabbler:

note this is not a " do they", "don't they" exist thread.

coolleyhou:

Vampire to me means eclectic, perhaps, with a lean toward the darker things in life, i.e., music, film, literature, dress, general overall life style. Paranormal, out of the box thinking, a vast open mindedness.

cadrewolf:

Vampire idealogy is based on lore, what drives individuals to the lifestyle of this lore, People are fasinated with the aspects of it, romance long jevady, and in some cases the darkness of the vampire.

Books and movies add to the glamour of the vampire. yet lifestylers potray what they feel as they are in life or wish for. Yet in cases many people believe that they are vampire and have the life style to potray such existance in their life.

MysticalRealms:

What drew you to the conclusion that Vampyres exist?

Since you used the spelling with a "y", I will enlighten the audience with one of my last posts on here.

The vamp"y"re does exist, it is called the HLV (Human Living Vamp"y"re) personality. Those that think they are vamp, just because they think they have some sort of special anomalies about them that are proven inconclusive.

These people act the drama of their lives as vamp simply because they have nothing better to do with their boring lives and just want to liven them up.

Blood drinking is a fetish to these people, they are not aenimic or have other blood disorders. The term "psi" is an excuse for them not to drink blood. If they are disgusted by it then why bother portraying themselves as vamp? Simple the term "psi" as I stated gives them the added excuse to claim the title of vamp without the added bloodlet connotations. Even though true vamps do NOT drink blood to survive.

Did you read something that significantly convinced you?

You had to ask? There is something called the "Black Veil", the Strigoii, the Sanguinomicon, the psychic vampire codex.. All of these are virtually the same thing. save for one are the masquareade-esque rules for these people. They are nothing more then lifestyling larpers that larp on a 24 hour basis. Mixing in with the real thing like they have the right to do so. They even lack the instincts, but make up certain terms such as "awakenings" and "pingings" to help with their so called vamp claims. Vamps do NOT "ping" one another, vamps do NOT "awaken" they are born the way they are and have instincts, they do NOT have any type of vamp puberty, ie awakenings.

When, in your opinion did the concept originate?

This is an easy one. It came into fruitation in the early 90's with Aaron Todd Hoyt, and a couple of other people inside New Yorks "Mother" on a night called "Long Black Veil". Thus the term "Black Veil" as their rules and guidelines. They all sat down that night and came into a discussion. Whether or not this discussion was talked about before hand and was designated as the first meeting on that night is unknown. But it happened.

When the first book came out, the first word and the first person, more then likely Todd himself or Vincent, the word spread around and became an instant popularity since the vampires: the masquerade was on its last leg. The lifestylers, roleplayers and larpers needed a new concept and thus the vamp"y"re was born.

Some people are just afraid to admit to this as FACT!

What seperates Vampyres, from Vampire Lifestylers?

Vamp"y"res are certain people with certain qualities that follow a certain structure which I have already mentioned.

Vampire lifestylers are little pippy twats that try to fit into the mainstream crowd that are the vamp"y"res. These kids have no idea what they are about to get into.

There is a huge differance in the vamp"y"re, the vampire lifestyers and the real thing, of which I will NOT get into.

Who founded the Vampyre ideaology?

I will mention a couple of names here. Most of them reside within the Gotham Halo central of New York:

Aaron Todd Hoyt aka Father Sebastian Todd aka Sebastiaan van Houten

Father Vincent Orion, only his friends know the whole story. Why not just as Ryu of Noctem Aeturnus?

Don Henrie, though I am not quite sure if he was at the original first meeting.

Michelle Bellanger, again I am not quite sure if she was at the first meeting.

A couple of other big names in the vamp"y"re community that I will not mention out of the he said/she said B.S., for the fact that I do not want to mention the wrong names otherwise people may draw the wrong conclusions.

My advice for this question would be to ask people who are affiliated with the "environment" to get the whole story.

Now, don't get me wrong. Some of those within the vamp"y"re community that are true to their nature. I will not name anyone inparticular. But those select few of whom are very respected "ELDERS", but do not advertise themselves as such. They have been in the media spotlight but only because they were offered monetary gain. Hell, if I were asked to do some media work for money, though it depends on what they want, and they offered money, I would accept it if it were local. But I am not about to fly to any media event just for a few dollars.

This is where the whole brushing of the elbow thing begins. Too many bad publicity individuals that want the spotlight just for the money, some individuals that were NEVER part of the community and still want the spotlight on them, ie one Jonathan Sharkey. Stay away from this individual as he is nothing mroe then a Pephilic socio-pathetic individual. He is NOT part of the community so if he is seen on any community advertised sites, kick him off immediately. The only reason why I mention his name here is because of the crap that has been spewed from his mouth about melo-dramatic vamp civil war B.S. that is completely untrue. He was NOT a founding member of the community, so if he says so, tell him where to STICK IT!

There is NOT and never will be any vamp civil war. This guy is a MORON. Don't waste your time on his idiocy.

Ehem, back to the topic...

I hope I clarified some things for the audience...

dabbler:

That is that.. You said more, with less hemmin and hawwin then anyother professing inducidual ever has!

* closes curtain*

UpirLikhyj:

M R

Thank you for your candor.

What all the self-stylized "vampires" out there (whether spelled with a "Y" or not) rather conveniently forget is that the first requirement of the folkloric vampire is that they must first ... be dead.

Undestandably and rather obviously, this makes the very term "Human Living Vampire" to be a glaring oxymoron. It is, after all, a complete contradiction in terms.

As for my own personal take on this entire topic, I think most here know quite well exactly how I view it and what my own research has revealed. And if not, my profile provides all of this in spades.

In any event, before others begin again to accuse me of trying to "take over" a thread topic for daring to express an unpopular view, despite its factuality, I'll say no more on the subject.

Again, SS, thanks for your remarks. And thank you, Dabbler, for letting me add this to his wonderful words!

Blonde Joke

15:37 Apr 11 2010
Times Read: 789

So a blonde walks into the home décor center

" Excuse me, I would like curtain material."

" I can help you says the clerk."

He shows her the material,

" What size will you need?"

She says " 3 to 5 inches"

He ask, " do you mean 3 to 5 feet?"

she replies " No as I said."

He ask " Are they for a bathroom?"

" no, they are for my computer."

Perplexed he states, " a computer screen is larger then 3 to 5 inches."

she looks at him sternly, "Duh, I got Windows!"
