...as I go through rating profiles one thing jumps out at me - using links to other people's accounts in Photobucket sucks.
First, you're using potentially someone else's copyrighted images. Second, you have no control over if they keep those images up and at the same location. Third, if a thousand people all use that same image the bandwidth limitations kill the image most every day.
Another reason why having you OWN hosting site is such a great value - you can set a location to host your own images and backgrounds and know that they will always be there.
Batskins can help.
One of the benefits of having your own web hosting account - being able to create a temporary email address just to check out an advertisement that may result in unwanted spam. Simply delete the mailbox when you're done getting what you want. What is that worth?

It's worth hours that would have been otherwise spent trying to rid your computer of a virus that was in spam... and you know what they say, time is money. :P
I guess it depends on how good your anti virus software is, and whether or not the site will be a problem.
You know what happens though - it might be someone's legitimate marketing or even somewhere you shopped once, but once you get that "Hey, check this out for free, then we'll talk about what else you can get..." you're then entered into a drip-marketing campaign that will hit your mailbox up at least once a day every day for the rest of that mailbox's existence.
Unless you simply delete the box and move on.
Never use your main mail box for shopping or offers every again.
