...yes, I did have some strange dreams last night, however I went to sleep listening to Pink Floyd, The Wall so I'm sure that would explain some of it...
...it is 10:37PM and I just put a pumpkin pie in the oven. The house smells so good... it will be nice to sleep to the smell of pumpkin and spices.
It is such a comfort dessert and scent for me...

Mmmmm spices... clove...
Mine will be vanilla cake and apple cinnamon pie. :)
Oh, now I'm jealous.
I am going to make an apple cider cream pie tonight. :) AND and orange cream coffee cake. :D
American pies confuse me. I thought Pumpkin pie was sweet! Ach.
Over here pies are served hot and they're savoury. :)
Ever have one of those dreams where you see faces from your past. Faces from life long, long ago? People you probably haven't even thought about for 20 years, if not more?
And then there they are in your mind's eye, faces as fresh and young as you remember them to be. Faces from a time when things were calmer... more simple... when life didn't feel like the weight of the world balanced on your every move.
I'm not sure where they came from... these people that I can barely remember who they were. I know the names. Their faces I can still see trapped in photographs buried somewhere deep in the recesses of my memories. But like so much of my life, I remember based on feelings, and I have no memory of the way they made me feel. I just remember seeing them from distances. It always seemed like there was a distance between us. As if I were simply an unobtrusive observer into their lives. The camera man they were ordered to pay no attention to.
But maybe that in itself is how they made me feel...
...had some veggies I had to cook, so I stir-fried them with some rice and made a Salmon Florentine.
Of course, it doesn't feel quite right having such a delicious meal alone....
*sigh*

Hey, you're not alone. I'm living vicariously through you and your veggies.
I'm a suckass friend right now, so I apologize. I don't believe I've ever had less faith in myself. Crawlingling under a rock is all I want to do.
On the bright side, where I sit at work I'm at a back wall facing a main exit to the training rooms and cafeteria. So, when all else fails, there is a lot of people watching to do...
...the situations we come across in life. We live in a small world where things revolve around us in a consistent way. There is a center to the Universe an although we can't see it, the Galaxies spin from it. With in the galaxies there is a center that all the stars revolve around. Around the stars, systems of planets, comets, rock and other bodies revolve and planets have moons and rings.... right down to atoms with electrons that spin rapidly around the nucleus, always seeking a balance.
It is a pattern that repeats from the largest scales to the smallest, in space and size we cannot even begin to truly grasp.
Our lives are no different. Our situations, the people in our lives, what we create and strive for... it all revolves around and around, coming back to us eventually.
It is nature's way. Gravity is hard to defeat...
...actually just put in a database entry submission. It has been so long since I have, I just hope I did it correctly.
A couple rules for life:
1. Don't ask someone's permission to do something you don't need anyone's permission to do.
2. Don't ask someone you don't know for a favor that you wouldn't have asked a friend for.
...my youngest a while back was telling me and his siblings about a dream he had. In the chicken coop, instead of chickens we had porcupines. The porcupines had babies, and as a joke on the mama porcupine, my youngest kept hiding the babies in a tree. The mama would come back and be confused as to why the babies were in the tree... we laughed and laughed about it.
...so last night, we all listened to Porcupine Tree.
