The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

So I may have mentioned earlier that I was referred to this site by a friend that suggested I would like this more than vampirefreaks which I have been a member of since 2004. I was hoping to find a community of people interested in goth music and culture. Perhaps I am being impatient. I have seen much the same as I have seen on Vf. People that think goth is metal and other genres which is fine but it is not goth. Perhaps I am an elitist but I have been into punk, post punk/goth since the late 80's and I am not sure how our little subculture got associated with so many other things. YOu will hear newwave, synthpop, industrial, dark electro etc at a goth club but not metal.

I thought VF was too chaotic, but maybe I never gave it a chance. I initially joined this site because they were one of the sponsors of the Goth Cruise for 2 years and the message boards were on this site so if I wanted to post in the threads I had to join. There were a lot of people chatting on there. I ended up meeting some cool people here so I stayed and I am still here because of that reason. But it is definitely not a place where yo will find a ton of goth friends. There are some of us around but there is a lot more going on. At least VF has their own radio station. So, welcome and hope you stick around.

So I am not into vampires beyond enjoying a good movie or book but who I consider to be a very close and important friend told me about this site so I thought I would give it a try. So far I have not had time to explore much so can't say if it suits me yet.
