In my opinion John McCain is a danger to the American people, more so than any terrorist. And as such he should be the one arrested, not innocent US citizens.
Happy Thanksgiving and look at me I actually made a cake! lol
Most people would tell you the only thing I cook is whatever will fit in the microwave or a pre-made pizza in the oven. But I used to love cooking and can still, when the spirit moves me, make something yummy that has more than 1 step.
When I was in 2nd grade we learned how to make a simple but very good cherry pie. And from then until I was 15-16 I made that every year.
But then I stopped, in part because the big family gatherings stopped but also because I lost the motivation to.
Fast forward 4 years (yes I'm 20 I swear!!) and I bought some cake mix stuff just to make batter and eat it (trying to get fat). Of course there was no way I could eat the entire amount without dying so I decided to bake half of it. I didn't follow the directions 100% and actually undercooked it by just a few minutes on purpose. Naturally with cake you need icing, which I didn't have. So I took regular sugar, turned it into powder, and made a very basic sugar/water glaze.
Cake + glaze = O M G it was insanely good, like for real it surprised me. Gave some to my mom today (2 day old cake) and ate the last bit myself and it was still super moist and fluffy.
So now I decided I had to make a cake but even better. For Thanksgiving dinner I made a white, french vanilla cake with handmade glaze using real butter of course. As well as a pure honey drizzle and a tiny bit of chocolate on top. The toppings are like 1/4 inch thick lol.
All done organizing my banknote collection. It takes up 5 ablums, 200 pages, with 655 individual (and different) notes from 148 countries.
Only 48 countries away from my goal of a complete world collection.
Name calling vs the truth
If anyone says something you don't like a lot of folks cry out "insult". Unfortunately for you insults stop with the age of 12 unless you're mean or immature which means if I call you lazy, for example, you're actually being lazy.
I'm one of those people who tries very hard to only speak the truth and often times the truth isn't "you're amazing and it's everyone else's fault".
So stop whining for a moment and think if someone calls you a "name" it may not be an insult but the truth. And there is a big difference between the two.
If anyone collects coins/world banknotes or would like to invest in gold, silver or copper (any amount) send me a message. I'm getting ready to move and really could use some extra money to help out.
I started re-organizing my banknote collection tonight to make room for new additions, keep them alphabetized and correctly labeled.
Before some albums had pages mixed in out of order, other's were packed way too full and there was no room for new countries.
I was able to finish to the first 2 albums tonight, took me some 3 hours. They're both 42 pages, with space for every country and territory (that makes it's own banknotes) on Earth even if I don't have them yet. The 2 I finished have a total of 349 banknotes from 60 or so different countries.
Once I finish I think the collection will be 5 albums (started with 4), will have 650-700 notes from 140 countries along with a special section for notes that came from countries that no longer exist, aren't recognized or were some other special type of "note" that wasn't issued from a central bank.
My goal is to have at least 1 note from all 196 countries..so I've got a ways to go. I much prefer collecting coins but I've had this goal since I was like 15 and would really like to get it completed; would make me extremely happy.
Well, off to bed. Didn't mean to stay up so freakin late! lol
I'm supposed to be under the care of a neurologist and get brain MRI's at least once a year. Of course since I haven't had insurance until recently I haven't had any MRI's in like 3-4 years.
So I'm thinking about setting up an appointment with my primary, having a check-up (need one anyway) and then having them refer me to a neurologist.
I'm curious to see if my brain lesions are still inactive (prayerfully) and I want to see how badly damaged the nerve is in my neck.
It's no secret I'm in big Ron Paul guy and I think Rick Perry is a very poor choice to be president, however, I'm also a nice person and know a thing or two about this arena.
I really think people should ignore his latest "flub" because I don't think it was anything serious. Everyone has moments when they can't remember something, even as simple as their name (or cabinet dept). I think he had an honest and simple "blank" caused by the stress of the day and caused by the huge stress he's placing on himself to not make mistakes given the past.
Just my opinion for what it's worth.
I've got a ton of work to do in finding a new apt, getting the money together etc. Kevin & I are hoping to move right after Christmas.
My website (www.wecanwin.org) seems to be doing pretty well given it's new nature and the fact that I've been the only one marketing it without any money but I wish I could find a way of getting a lot more traffic. It could handle 100,000 page views a day with no problem but right now I'm averaging like 10. On the plus side my Alexa ranking has only gone up since the site came on line. When it did on Oct 27 the ranking was 13 million and today it's at 4.1 million but that sucks compared to where I want it to be.
I know it's a political site focusing on Ron Paul but even the top "pro-Paul" site gets something like 20k visitors a day and if I want the larger picture (society in general) to benefit then I'm going to have to figure out a way of getting the message out.
I was able to get $50 in free advertising from Facebook but that has only yielded something like 1 click per $0.48, which to me at least seems sucky. And I've got a FB page just for the site which is adding new "Likes" almost daily but again, I need more.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Hellz yeah! Conrad Murray was found guilty!!!!!
