I love you more than life itself and I know that you have loved me.

We have spent little time together yet I was with you for every step you took.

Everything I have ever done wrong to you , have I not made up for a million times over?

You barely knew me at first but I was there before you were born.

When you were happy I danced with you, when you were sad I bleed with you and when you were angry I feared you.

I was there when you cried and I remember that timed I saw light in your eyes.

We have suffered long together and I have made every effort on your behalf.

Anytime you thought I was out of place I made sure I stood down.

There were days when we did not talk and times we fought but I never left your dreams.

I offered you advice and took pride when you listened. The times you did not I simply held you in my arms.

I never gloated over you nor offered any malice.

When you were stressed at work I came to you, I remember you calling me at home and telling me you saw my face.

My scent has lingered long inside your lungs and my heart has kept steady beat with yours.

So many times you came to me in despair and I always lifted you up.

I have done everything you asked of me, even when it hurt to do so. I don't know if you realize but even when you lied about something not hurting you I always obeyed.

There were times when I thought you'd left me but I would always come to you.

Perhaps I was a fool but you've always been my greatest joy.

I may not have been the prettiest nor the most polite but you can't deny that we held each others hearts.

After all we have been through and all we have seen. After all the times I whispered in your ear so many miles away. After all the times we laughed and after all the times we cried for each other.

If you still do not understand who and what I am then I must bid you a fond farewell.

Good bye my sweet, may you find peace elsewhere.

Look at you, standing under the oak tree.

Your eternal smile, for a moment, breaks.

You think no one sees you.

You send up a false prayer of solitude.

Day after day and year after year you walk amongst the broken graves of those still living.

Standing tall under that old oak you brace yourself.

A sliver of dark light leaves your solid bastion.

I see you.

I heard your false prayers and your cries at night.

Once more thoughts flood your crowded mind and a wave of despair takes your breath.

Everyone who catches your gaze see only that bright facade.

Your invincible, at least thats what they think.

But in your most bitter of twilights my mind held you up.

I see your pain most beautiful and your doubts for what they are.

I know why you cover your arms, your wrists, your thighs even your once bright face.

When you broke down I was that voice, that voice of peace you tried not to hear.

As you now sit under the tree, the only living thing that cares. It shields you, it hides you, it lifts you.

Passers by look at you and move on.

The world, your thinking, has moved on. The earth has forgotten you.

With one voice you cry out for comfort, yet with the other you beg for silence.

A tear drops from your expressionless face and you think about your life. Your life built up as though no one mattered, but if only someone could.

The sun is setting and you get up to leave. Your head held high but your soul has been borne low.

A gentle breeze caresses your sweet face, the last of the days warmth kisses your tender lips. The end light wraps itself around your body.

I have found you, I am with you.
