Winter in Summers' dawn

The quick change from bright to dark

That consuming fire of flames iridescent

The pain with no remedy

Walking from place to place, head held low

That blank smile, a nod to face

Hollow, stinging and empty

Hoping to just let go

Friends and family bring sounds of joy

My ears only hear the screams of death

Sitting alone, feeling nauseas with heart aching

What is it that drives me this way?

What is it that keeps my life from moving forward?

A cold wind blows with a stinging chill

My body aches and my soul can no longer keep flight

A river of tears my will can no longer hold back

Those pounding questions, will it continue, shall I let it, can I stop it?

Brought to the prepuce of life and death, such sweet moanings

Begging the choice to become apparent

I just don't know

I am as the scent of a fading light, my soul too thin

I don't understand

Walls of alabaster break down into walls of iron which close in about me

The breath of life, it seems, flees my very lungs

Oh God it hurts

I for one will never believe that your Soul will forget how to fly, though your wings may ache like hell sometimes, the wild blue yonder is all yours. xxx
