Just had something really cool happen.
I've always been fascinated by rocks & minerals, and a few months ago I actually began collecting element samples. My latest acquisition was 50 grams of antimony (51 Sb). Antimony is rarer than uranium in the Earth's crust and is a very shiny silvery metal, it's also very brittle.
Every year we have a festival called "Uncle Dave Macon Days" which is named after "Uncle" Dave Macon, a local musician. It takes place in a reconstructed historical village on the original location of the town I live in, and they have music, crafts, etc. Yesterday, at one table they were selling various stones and I decided to buy a really cool looking silvery crystal called "stibnite". I didn't know what it was made of and so I just (as in a moment ago) Googled it - it happens to be the primary source mineral of antimony!
