**Try and understand the deeper meaning behind this**
Awake and cold, full is my soul and clean are my hands
Today I stand with one arm to the sky and another to the earth
Walking with trepidation, unsure foot steps
Witness am I to the world of men, calculated are their efforts yet unassuming
I break free of a coddled life and enter humanity as a man
Through life I see love and hate, war and peace, plenty and hunger
As each day unfolds a balance apparent, removed
The tick of a clock signals the arrival of a new order
Passing and going, man walks the earth
Slowly falling into place the pawns move with assuredness
Again I stand back seeing with eyes unclear a new wave of motion
Filtering sunlight the clouds form
Earth shakes, cities fall, nature without love
The collected cries for mercy to the gods go unheard words of pain
In the mountain I tried to hide, freedom lost, bonds have torn
Behold the new order, behold the reason of agony
Today I must choose, life or death, hope or chaos
Fleeting are the moments of existence yet so powerful are the actions of men to dictate the future
Standing alone yesterday, today I stand with the voices of a thousand
Once then twice we fall, no respect. One for one and none for all
It has begun this night of purple skies
Fire flung from the heavens, dashing against the rocky earth
All hope now lost
I see with our eyes a creature, the force behind this grand new order
We walk low, our heads born the weight of a century of despair
The dawn of red brings forth seemingly
unending oceans of men and steel, to take with no regret
Few are remaining, the ranks of humanity
Together we stand pushing back until the earth removes itself
Witness the beauty of the Best
Such power and grace the Best marches, sword in hand, to crush all life
Backs bent and chests laid bare the last sand
It is over
Awake and cold, empty is my soul and bloody are my hands
To ask a question
Is it better to witness the majesty of terror and rebel to fail? Or is it better see your fellow fall so you may live for just one day?

My god. This is the deepest and most beautiful thing I have seen you write. It is timely and relevant, but also apocalyptic in scope. While not a lengthy tome, its reach is epic.
These were the lines I read aloud again and again:
"Once then twice we fall, no respect. One for one and none for all
It has begun this night of purple skies"
Powerful, beautiful, frightening, and revealing. Who could possibly read this and not go back to read it again with the question you ask at the end which begs..."Which am I?"
