Seriously? Obama apologizes for Koran burnings yet no outrage over the fact 14 innocent people have been killed by these "offended" people? In America you can burn anything and not be killed over it. It's called freedom dumb asses.

We beg the forgiveness of these "peaceful" people and bend over backward to them and yet we ignore the fact people are being shot down and beaten to death. We ignore the fact that their jails are filled with thousands of innocent women and young girls over their "disobedience". We ignore the fact the entire region wouldn't lift a finger to help us and in fact conspire with each other to defeat us in future conflicts.

Granted their hatred toward America is understandable but this kowtowing to a bunch of illiterate religious fanatics (which DOES represent a large portion of the regions population) is beyond disgusting.

Please angry Muslims forgive us for burning a book and please continue your mission of peace by murdering thousands a year, thousands of your own people and families.

If I have the right to become an alcoholic.

If I have the right eat only fatty foods and have a heart attack.

If I have the right to be a Communist.

If I have the right to worship the stars.

If I have the right to kill a new life inside of me.

Then why don't I have the right to drink whole milk, get married or receive medical treatments pioneered in other countries but banned here?

America is about individual liberties, not womens rights or federal approvals. If I own my own body and life then I should be able to make my own choices, good or bad, so long as I don't harm another individual.

"Mysticism is logical, though it does not assume the same parameters as science."

Are you kidding me!?

Fine, go find the philosophers stone by turning lead into gold using aqua regia and implore the wisdom of the goddess instead of using the fundamental laws of physics to do the same thing without the cloak and dagger affects.

Even those who seem otherwise intelligent fall for this total bull crap.

Science gives you the proof of your "mysticism" and turns you from being an idiot to realistic. It also shows you what you shouldn't believe in (lightning as only gods wrath) to keep you on the path to truth.

If they don't believe in science, then why is the ocean floor covered in gold? Simple physics! Tell them to look it up, Lol.

I am so fucking tired of "traditional" Americans. The US Constitution and Declaration of Independence is clear, ALL men are created equal, have the same rights and you can't deny fundamental rights to any law abiding citizen. Not to mention the fact that 2 international treaties we've signed declares such discrimination a violation of human rights.

Do you have any idea what it's like to actually BE a second class citizen in the "land of the free"?

Go to hell Obama etc

Go to hell Santorum etc

Go to hell Family Research Council

and go to hell YOU for letting this shit keep going and going and going.

Here's the latest bit of bull crap over nothing,

http://live.drjays.com/index.php/2012/02/07/jc-penney-under-fire-cause-spokesperson-ellen-is-a-lesbian/

Seriously, we go to *war* in nations thousands of miles away when a few hundred people get killed and yet do absolutely nothing when hundred commit suicide every year, thousands undergo abuse and over 10 million are denied equal treatment HERE?

Instead of having a tiny ERC bumper sticker on your car, try doing something productive like writing or calling your federal and state representatives to end discrimination and then maybe when "traditional" America starts screaming people will just laugh. You know they say 51% of Americans support gay marriage but when only 5 or 7% get off their asses and do something it kinda falls flat.

This is the EXACT same thing these sort of folks did to women, blacks and native Americans.

At least Hitler didn't pretend to like the Jews the way America pretends to follow its founding principles.

Dearest cousin i am truly sorry for what you have to go through. Until people wake up and wise up to what is going on and realize that everyone should be treated equally instead of being judged because of race, sexuality or religion this so called "great country" we live in will never change. People are afraid to stand up for what they believe in as long as they keep blinders on and refuse to see what is really going on out there in the world.

FBI warns of threat from anti-government extremists

"Anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States, the FBI warned on Monday.

These extremists, sometimes known as "sovereign citizens," believe they can live outside any type of government authority, FBI agents said at a news conference.

The extremists may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard.

Routine encounters with police can turn violent "at the drop of a hat," said Stuart McArthur, deputy assistant director in the FBI's counterterrorism division.

"We thought it was important to increase the visibility of the threat with state and local law enforcement," he said.

In May 2010, two West Memphis, Arkansas, police officers were shot and killed in an argument that developed after they pulled over a "sovereign citizen" in traffic.

Last year, an extremist in Texas opened fire on a police officer during a traffic stop. The officer was not hit.

Legal convictions of such extremists, mostly for white-collar crimes such as fraud, have increased from 10 in 2009 to 18 each in 2010 and 2011, FBI agents said.

"We are being inundated right now with requests for training from state and local law enforcement on sovereign-related matters," said Casey Carty, an FBI supervisory special agent.

FBI agents said they do not have a tally of people who consider themselves "sovereign citizens."

J.J. MacNab, a former tax and insurance expert who is an analyst covering the sovereign movement, has estimated that it has about 100,000 members.

Sovereign members often express particular outrage at tax collection, putting Internal Revenue Service employees at risk."

Here's some comments you may want to think about:

This article is Brainwashing at its finest.

The only people i see performing illegal and “extremist” behavior are some characters in our government.

I guess you better arrest Ron Paul for wanting to abolish the FED and IRS and being able to understand basic math.

-----------------

Seeing as 89% of Americans see the Government as the single greatest threat to their freedom….who exactly is this warning being directed to?????

----------------

“Legal convictions of such extremists, mostly for white-collar crimes such as fraud, have increased from 10 in 2009 to 18 each in 2010 and 2011, ”

So in a country ot 320 million 20 (TWENTY) people got convicted of this “crime”. Oh my God! It’s bedlam!

I wonder if the fed LEO’s know how silly they sound. They will find a reason (real or imaginary) to clamp down. Get prepared.

------------------

Ah! So NOW if one disagrees with the course of government, those are deemed an offical Threat.

-----------------

I would imagin the "crimes" began when a citizen asked by what authority the cop pulled them over (usually none), the cop getting upset and then over reacting when the citizen dared exercise his own rights, then having both side over react. That's right, just attack those damn free-thinkers with a badge!

----------------

The Constitution is the law…why should we fear that or be intimidated by it? Our current Government on the other hand thinks they are the law. What a joke. Get out your Constitution and read it. That’s where the “sovereigns” are at. Call it extreme, call it intolerable, but they are the ones who live inside the law and demand you do so as well. Get over yourselves already

Dear Mitt Romney,

Please take a moment to re-asses your notion of America's military might.

As a member of the Federation of American Scientists, a group dedicated to nuclear non-proliferation, I have had the opportunity to study US and international military powers.

Your commitment to enlarging the US military to such a size that would "make it impossible for anyone to oppose us" is frankly absurd. Aside from the face we already have a military decades ahead of any other it is impossible to maintain a military that would eliminate any and all threats.

The idea that any blue-water navy nation would attack us is something that is not in the realm of possibility. What is possible is having rogue nations or terrorists groups attack us. The problem is that countries like Iran have no capability to attack us directly and there is no solution to "terrorism" since it is nothing but a tactic carried out by small bands of individuals and even a military twice our current size couldn't hope to stop all acts of terror without shredding the Constitution.

If you look at Iran, the "long-range" missile they recently tested only had a range of 125 miles. The US has dozens of missile types with ranges from 1,000 to over 8,000 miles directly and world-wide given our air and sea delivery platforms.

Please consider theses facts.

The United States Navy is the most powerful navy on Earth. In fact our Navy outweighs, battle fleet tonnage, the next 13 largest navies combined. We also have 75 nuclear powered submarines. On the other hand Russia only has 24 nuclear powered subs with that number expected to be reduced to 20 over the next few years.

Our Navy also has 11 aircraft carriers, the total number of aircraft carriers world-wide is only 21. On top of our massive naval capabilities the US Navy owns some 3.3 million acres of land along with bases in over a dozen foreign lands.

The US spends some $700 billion a year on "defense" compared to $190 billion a year for China, the world's 2nd largest military spender. Iran spent $7 billion.

The NSA (National Security Agency) intercepts, daily, over 1,600 terabytes of information. That is equal to nearly 7 times the amount of information held within the Library of Congress total.

Of the nearly $800 billion we spent in Iraq some 600,000 civilians were killed, yet only 23,000 "insurgents" were and the number of attacks do not seem to have changed a great deal. This demands that we rethink our tactics and the reasons why people attack us. The notion that it's because we're free or rich simply doesn't pass muster. I do not recall any attacks against Switzerland or Fiji.

The problem isn't that our military is too small or weak or even could become potentially weak. The problem is engaging in multiple, non-declared, wars and policies that directly harm the security of the United States.

A little bit of history will show you that it was our direct involvements in the affairs of other nations that led them to being our enemies. For example, there have been over 50 years of non-stop meddling in the sovereign affairs of Iran, including the overthrow of a duly elected government.

We trained, supplied and paid for Bin Laden as well as gave him cause for concern due to our military presence in Saudi Arabia.

We have maintained strong sanctions and military threats against Cuba and North Korea for decades and yet the only thing it's done has caused those nations (and others) to unit together against what they see as a common foe. On top of strengthening their leadership it has also led to the deaths of millions in famine and other disasters.

However, if you take the case of Vietnam, after loosing 50,000 American lives we decided brute force wasn't the answer. Today we actively trade with them and tourism is on the rise. A similar case for peace can easily be made if you look at the Cuban Missile Crisis. Both nations had the capability of destroying one another and the USSR made many similar statements about our destruction as Iran has made about us and others. However, instead of invading, we had a leader with enough wisdom to talk.

The US does not have the moral or legal authority to lay claim to any territory other than our own nor do we have the right to dictate what other nations can do, even if we don't like it.

I urge you to reconsider your plan for massive military buildup, your ideas of un-ending warfare and to please recognize that sometimes when the US does something it causes harm and instead of promoting those policies we should step back from them and look to other options which will save lives. Sec. of State Albright may have thought the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi civilians was justified during our 10 year bombing campaign in the 1990s but I assure you, your Mormon faith does not and neither do the American people.
