So tired of this world
So sick of all the hate
Why can’t we all get along?
Mothers wonder if their children will survive
Children running streets fighting
Fathers always working or in the bar
One lone child sits in her room
She cries day and night waiting for someone to save her
Days and weeks pass
She knows no one will come for her
She holds tight to the dream
That one day all this pain and suffering will end
But until that day comes she lies
Never to see the day light
Guns fire and screams shakes her house
She lays in silence and extends her hand to a figure in the light
The figure is her guardian angel smiling down upon her
He takes her hand
Together they go to a place
There is no hate
And no violence
Maybe there is hope after all.
In the dead of night I can feel you all around me
I cry silent tears wishing to see you
I smell your familiar scent
I hear your breathtaking voice
I yearn to reach out and touch you
But I know you are not truly here with me
It’s funny how you said you’d never leave me
Because I know you kept your promise
I feel your eyes on me
I can sense your embrace
Reaching out for you in the darkness
Screaming your name at the top of my lungs
You disappear into the shadows
Begging on my knee’s for you too come back to me
I yearn for your touch
I feel weak for your kisses
In the eternal night you fade
