I'm no fool, just paranoid.

So, an ADT security van pulls up this afternoon. Three inside, two men and one woman. The eldest man attempted to sell a security system to my husband. We are dirt poor, so it didn't fly.

I noticed the woman petted our dogs and let them both get her scent. Well, something just felt off about the whole thing. His sale pitch was feeble and frankly, they gave me the creeps. I mentioned to John that they could be thieves just scoping us out. Anyone can put the letters ADT on their van.

Later tonight, just now in fact, I noticed our security light is off. Can't see a thing in our yard now. Maybe I am paranoid, but I DO NOT believe in coincidences.

Time to bring out the shot gun and sit on the porch.

Loving you, but not being in love with you means; I can't live without you, but I really wish I could.

Twisted but Touching

A boy's love for his mom was too much for his wife. She demanded that he cut his mom heart out to prove his love. When this was done, he put her heart in a bag to give to his wife. Rushing back to show his wife, he fell down. From the bag his mothers voice came, "Son, are you hurt?"

This was from my stepdad. He put it on Facebook. Facebook can't handle that sh*t.

Almost unbelievable.

When I was a kid, I had a reoccurring fright. For seven nights I would hear footsteps suddenly appear in my kitchen and walk down my hall. Then a thin man dressed all in black with a very pale face would stand in my bedroom door and stare at me. I covered my head in fright and fell asleep scared to death for six nights. On the seventh night, I couldn't take it anymore. I uncovered my head and said, "What do you want?" He just looked at me a moment and then turned and walked away. I heard his footsteps down the hall and into the kitchen where they just faded away. I never saw him again after that.

Years later I was telling my then fiance about it. He sat up in the bed and said, "No way. That didn't happen!" I was offended and proceeded to profess my truth. He said, "That's amazing. When I was a kid, a man dressed as you said came to MY room. I asked him what he was doing and he said, 'Watching your wife.'" That pretty much proved to him that what he had seen was real and what I had seen was real.

We are married now for eight years and counting.
