Ok, so the strangest thing happened to me last night. I was in bed asleep when at about 2:00 in the morning, my dog went absolutely wild barking and jumping at the door. I went to the door and looked out of it only to find some incredibly elderly woman completely freaking out outside my door.
She's screaming "Help me please! We are lost and we dont know where we are or how to get out of here. Please tell me how to get out of here."
Bless her heart. I had to give her directions and explain to her that the same way she came in was the only way to get out. I live wayyyyyyyyyyyyy out in the country and its not a place that many people have been to before. She finally calmed down and was, hopefully, able to find her way back to where she was trying to get.
I, on the other hand, had the hardest time getting back to sleep after that. So I probably lost about 2 hours of sleep but since I didnt have work today, it all worked out just fine.
So, I went shopping for everything that I needed for Thanksgiving day yesterday. About halfway through, my daughter says...mom, im dizzy. THen she collapses in my arms. Then, once she comes to, she passes out again and hits the floor.
I, of course, left all my groceries and took her straight to the dr. They figured out that she has a slight case of pneumonia and is dehydrated. They also gave her an antibiotic.
Today, she is feeling much better. Shes drinking apple juice, sprite, water, and powerade along with taking her meds twice a day. Im so glad shes doing better. I dont think Ive ever been so freaked out in my life.
ok, so at work Im in charge of the PBIS program. Once a month we have to meet and discuss issues that occur across our campus. The team consists of one teacher from each grade level as well as a special needs teacher and both principals.
Anyway, at the end of our meeting, I scheduled the date of our next meeting on Dec. 21. Then, jokingly, I told them while you all have your pencils out you can write down my birthday which is Dec. 20.
My principal looks at me and says: I wont hold it against you cause I like you but my ex wifes birthday is December 21.
I looked at him and said: Well I guess you learned not to mess with Sagitarius' cause you cant handle them.
He laughed and said, oh yes, Ive definately learned my lesson.
Go me!!
I should have added that December 21 is the first official day of Winter so his ex wife must have been a frigid lil ****h lmao

Another Song that I absolutely love (whether you hate or love the movie is beside the point)
It's a Possibility
I absolutely LOVE the song Violet Hill by Coldplay. It is definately in the top five of my favorites.
"Violet Hill"
It was a long and dark December
From the rooftops I remember
There was snow, white snow
Clearly I remember
From the windows they were watching
While we froze down below
When the future's architectured
By a carnival of idiots on show
You'd better lie low
If you love me, won't you let me know?
Was a long and dark December
When the banks became cathedrals
And a fox became God
Priests clutched onto bibles
Hollowed out to fit their rifles
And a cross held aloft
Bury me in armour
When I'm dead and hit the ground
A love back home, it unfolds
And if you love me, won't you let me know?
I don't want to be a soldier
Who the captain of some sinking ship
Would stow, far below.
So if you love me, why d'you let me go?
I took my love down to violet hill
There we sat in snow
All that time she was silent still
Said if you love me, won't you let me know?
If you love me, won't you let me know?
I have 5 more days of work and then...at last...I will have a 9 days off! I sooooooooo need that time lol. The kids and I are going to go to the Renissance Fair a couple of parishes over. We wont have a big family thing for Thanksgiving but hopefully we will make up for it at Christmas. We are making plans to head home to South Carolina for Christmas. I love it there. I hope they have some nice weather still. I love going to Myrtle beach. Its so beautiful and the cold weather doesnt bother me at all. I have truly been blessed with all that is going well in my life right now.
It is truly hilarious to watch the stupidity that abounds around this place sometimes. It's like there are children here that get their feelings hurt and then want to whine till they find compassion...it reminds me of...well, school children.

BTW, I refer to those who stress over the rate they are given and seem to want "revenge" but come on guys....it is what it is. Deal with it.
And some just rate what they're given. We cannot disregard their pref to do it that way.Everyone has their own system, whether we consider it childish or not..

As is their right to do so...just as it is my right to find the humor in such things. *shrugs*
