The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I'm finding myself increasingly irritated by this and a few other "social" sites I'm a member of. I can't put my finger on it exactly, it's just a general feeling I get when I log in and see the latest moronic drivel* that seems to be the norm. With the odd exceptions (you know who you are) nobody seems to be able to hold a conversation anymore without bringing either their dick, delusions or "dominance" into it*.



Someone called me cynical the other day, stating that it was probably my decade on VR which caused it. I replied in the negative, that it was in fact my membership on FL which was to blame if anything, but it got me thinking. I'm a lot less tolerant with the idiots and fuckboys on here now than I was before I joined FL, and I'm also more likely to spot them and shoot them down.



But to what end? Am I becoming TOO suspicious, assuming everyone has a ulterior motive before they even have a chance to condemn or redeem themselves? Perhaps. But then, there are people with whom I have lovely conversations with so I'm evidently not pushing everyone away.



Maybe I'm just running out of fucks to give.



*this doesn't necessarily refer only to members or conversations on VR.

Actually, it feels worse than it looks. I'm gonna have a raised scar though, because the surgeon didn't stitch it flat.

Well, got through the first day at work after my hand op. I'm almost used to using the mouse left-handed now! Still can't write though, thank the gods for note-taking apps and the Swype keyboard!



It does make me realise how fast I normally work though, I usually have to restart my pc at least once a day but not even once today. Course, it also means I haven't gotten as much done as I'd like but everyone knows about my op, so they're not expecting me to be as fast as usual.



Now if only I could lower my own expectations of myself I'd be fine!

So, got my hand done. In pain now the anaesthetic has worn off, and to top it all off I'm now in a separate hospital with my daughter, who took a tumble on a tiled shop floor and is being kept overnight for observation.



*update* she had a CT scan which came back clear, and she was discharged by 11am Friday and back in school by noon! So Gav and I went to see Deadpool :D

Carpal tunnel op tomorrow, Deadpool on Friday, Walking Dead on Sunday! Exciting few days coming up! Not that an operation is particularly exciting but the thought of being pain-free for the first time in donkey's years is!
