Mining Mayhem

Last night was hell. Thank a miner for your electricity, and all kinds of other shit. I really didn't think I would make it through the night. Haul trucks, dirt roads and snow do not make a very good combination. I really do love my job, but sliding all over the place in a 2 story house is not for the timid. Thank you God, for getting me through the night safely. I really hope I don't have to go through another night like that for a very long time.

No More Sugar Coating

It is a lot easier to be honest when you stop caring about hurting someone's feelings. That is what honesty is, it is painful. But the saying goes, "I'd rather be hurt by the truth than comforted by a lie." It has taken me so long to come to this understanding, because by nature, I want to please everyone who crosses my path. Well, that shit ends today. I am tired of people taking advantage of my kindness and then it biting me in the ass later, and most of all I am tired of it hurting people. My goal for 2018 is to no longer sugar coat anything, and if that makes me a bitch, I really don't care anymore. I would rather be called a bitch than continue to lose my sanity any longer. I am done being that person. I will always strive to be kind, but I will make it my goal to always be honest. In reality, maybe the truth will hurt, but that is a kindness far greater than sugar coating the truth.
