As some of you know I turned 23 August 27 and in true Irish fashion I drank....alot. For about a week from the 28th on to today, I had been feeling like I had a nasty hangover all day all night all week non-stop. No matter how much water or gatorade I drank and I had not touched a drop of alcohol since my birthday. I took a sip of the good ol Southern Comfort I had in the fridge and instantly felt better. It suddenly hit me that for an entire month since I was fired from my job, I had been drinking alot. I was having at least four glasses of either Southern Comfort or Cherry Rum at least 4 days out of the week. Usually I limited myself to one drink every two weeks. Me drinking that entire month kept my brain off the depression off the worries. Ive actually come to realize how dangerously close to being an alcoholic I was becoming. Its startling to realize that the control I used to brag about having has all but disappeared. So in discovering this realization, Ive decided to slowly cut out the alcohol.
