The devil's hand
blackened by mortal sin
and strengthened by
fallen angel's envy
swallows this earth,
consuming the hearts of men.
The ego is blotted out
and only the lucid will know.
Pure hearts fall like
ashes from flames
spit up from unsanctimonious thoughts.
Time will fail
hearts will break
angels will fall
and the blood of man
will spill on hollowed grounds.
Fairest of faces,
divinely inspired,
will usurp the throne
he so desires.
Far from he who is the sea
I tossed a coin inside of me
Watch it spin watch it dance
a little grin for the game of chance
As it fell my eyes did well
to see to heaven or to hell
tears did stream or though it seemed
but lady luck thoroughly deemed
that today was the day
my heart would play
a melodic song that all along
I knew could never be wrong
and so it be that now I see
I am for him as he is for me
Simply darkness is all I ask
and to be alone with you at last
beneath a moonlit starry sky
where nothing matters but you and I
a simple request from a humble girl
amidst a torrential and troubled world
In hours of fighting all I ask is this
a single second of love-filled bliss
Come, my angel, grant me your kiss.

Apocryphal; poetic and foreboding.

"Fairest of faces,

I love this!
I am so glad you started to write again!
