Hair wisps your face and the air is cold, but your heart colder. The night sky hidden behind scattered fragments of cloud and a playful moon peeking in and out. The gallop of the horse pounding into the grass and dirt like a war drum stimulating your senses as you ride on.
You see a glow in the trees like a fire and turn the horse shooting through the trees.
A tent and a small hand wagon are near the fire and three people sitting and laughing in a drunken manner. Pulling the reins of the horse you leap into the trees and the horse gallops away. The drunken fools barely swayed by the sound, you quietly walk the branches and stalk your prey.
Waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike...
Jumping into the fire pit from above, ash and cinders scatter staggering your prey. Drawing your dual wield swords and spinning kicking up more dust, step out of the fire pit and cut them down. All but one...
The remaining woman, your target.
Stimulated by the heat of the hunt, you bend to tear into her neck but are interrupted by and piercing pain.
Turning to the archer you snarl and screech, but they don't move. They simply stand staring you down and holding the next arrow to fire. While distracted, your prey knocks you down kicking your leg out from under you and elbowing your breasts. Knocked on your back and out of breath, you scramble for your swords, but the archer gone, and the prey running into the forest.
Standing, the wind dancing with your hair, you watch her run and hear a simple angering and familiar sentence.
"Until next time"
