Thinking about my upcoming birthday and the prospects of turning 40, there has come a point in my life that the words of Kathy Bates and K.T. Oslin ring true to my heart. (If you don’t know who either of them are or what they have said, then you are probably too young to understand anyway.) I know the value of having an idea of what direction your life is going to take. When the days of living life from the cuff were never second guessed and you did not worry about the future. Well, that future is here for me now.
Life is slowly coming full circle for me…well, it’s a semi-circle now but the edges are clearly a series of smaller circles connected together. I can see the path I have left in the wake of my life. Starting off as a soft touch barely visible to the naked eye to stampeding causing havoc and destruction and ending at this point as clearly laid with a purpose!
I no longer have the luxury of living life from the cuff anymore. (Maybe luxury isn’t the appropriate word here either.) Responsibilities!! The ever modifiable checklist: home, car, child, and yes, Uncle Sam. (UGH! Please pass me the plastic hand on a stick so I can slap this old gray haired man some sense because he has gone mad!)
While I sometimes revel in the challenge to tough it out with the current youth of America, my body quickly reminds me why I can’t do some of those things anymore. No more concerts for me that do not involve seating! The thought of having to stand up for over twelve hours straight, allowed to be robbed blind for a bottle of water, and subjecting my tits to the imaginations of drunken men crawl up my spine in much the same way that enemas remove the grime from the recesses of poop shoots. What a good time it was though, yes indeed!
I do feel the importance of maintaining one’s appearance at any age. My list of must have’s for females at 40: hair dye, a good set of tweezers, a sharp razor blade, a fingernail file, and a foot sander. Knowing how to use these properly and regularly would also be good here. ‘Cause God forbid but you know who you are, yes, I have seen you.
The last time I hit rock bottom over a number was when I turned 25. (Don’t get me wrong, I am not hitting rock bottom again, I am simply acknowledging and accepting the fact that I am getting old! HA!) I broke down back then and I did not want to face my reality. Hell, I am facing it head on now, in fact, challenging it to go toe-to-toe with me.
I am comfortable in my own skin right now. I am proud of my gray hair. I accept each wrinkle and line in my face as battle scars. I am getting older but I am doing it gracefully (trying to anyway.)

Okay, I understand Gala.
However-
I didn't say what I said to be offensive; I just think it interferes with the Enjoyment of this awesome Site if some Religious diatribe is pressed upon you randomly.
Just as we have freedom of speech, in humanity, we also have freedom of choice.
I choose, to enjoy the Site without attempts at being converted, as do many others.
This person ALREADY had one Profile banned for infinity due to doing this, and I couldn't agree with Cancer's Decision to do that more.
I'm incredibly religious myself, as are most people here..I just do not follow the Christian Path; but I certainly, do not go around here, trying to indoctrinate others with the Joy of Satan; nor, would I ever; it's just not what this Site is for.

WTF is right, some may, some dont , so my advice to this ass clown is that he better start barking up another tree.dont pray unto others for the fact we do have religion .If thats what you desire go and do it under the Gym bleachers of the almighty Church...

I totally agree with Bane on this one. I am religious, albeit I'm not Christian by any means, but I am not going to go around on this site trying to convert people to Wicca.
There is nothing wrong with this person writing such on his profile or in his Journal. I do not think he needs to randomly send this message to people on VR.
That is one pet peeve of mine.....when religious bible thumping tards push their religion in my face. That just makes me mad and I may slap you for getting so close in my personal space and all. Back the fuck up please!
