Moving forward in The shadows

In the tapestry of my existence, it's the moments that seem designed to shatter me—laden with hurdles and tribulations—that unexpectedly morph into the most illuminating chapters of my life. My mother, a beacon of faith, would often remind me with a sparkle in her eyes, "Celebrate these trials, for they herald the arrival of your blessings." Such words hinted at the spiritual foundations laid early in my life's journey.

Like many, my love for my mother is boundless. Yet, navigating a relationship with her while embracing my dedication to the "Royal Arts" presented a complex challenge that spanned two decades. This pursuit, often misunderstood and met with discrimination, especially by those closest to us, requires courage and resilience.

For those who have glanced at my bio, my identity might resonate more clearly, offering a glimpse into the struggles and triumphs of someone embracing their true self amidst the shadows of societal expectations. In this journey, I've discovered the profound strength that lies in detachment—a tool that allows me to witness the world's stark realities without being engulfed by them.

Many of us, I've observed, assume the role of silent watchers, a strategy that shields us from the confusion that seems to be the weapon of choice in the arsenal of various factions, communities, and even advertisers. It's pervasive. Yet, I pen these words not out of frustration, but as a testament to the distance I've traveled on this path of self-discovery. This reflection is sparked by a recent milestone: the reconciliation with my mother after four years of silence, a silence born from the divergence in our spiritual paths.

Raised in a devout Christian environment, choosing a path divergent from that tradition can lead to stark isolation or acceptance, a gamble of sorts. Unfortunately, my journey was one of isolation, navigating through rejection and misunderstanding.

This narrative isn't just a recount of past struggles; it's a celebration of growth, understanding, and the rekindling of familial bonds once thought lost. It's a journey that speaks to the heart of anyone who has felt the sting of rejection for simply being true to themselves.

Thank you for sharing this moment of reflection with me.
