Chapter ?
Past: Elizabeth’s birth
I awoke to the horrid smell of bodies, mold, and mildew. I gasped and pulled myself up and adjusted my eyes to my surroundings; darkness had its arms around me leaving only a small opening in the roof for light. I shivered and reached out through the darkness and latched onto the corner of something that was cold and wet. I lifted myself up with all my might and fell against its barrier and breathed in heavily feeling my lungs tighten and allow pain to seep through me.
I wrapped my hand around my throat, feeling a wet and slimy texture across my palm. I jerked my hand away from my throat and stepped forward and stared up at the night sky, watching the moon glare down upon me. I slowly lifted my hand to where the light caught it and I watched as the metallic texture dripped down my palm. I squealed and rubbed it away, latching my hand back onto my throat.
I felt tears start to well down my eyes in a passionate stream. I fell backwards onto the cold barrier and wiped my tears away and gained control of myself. I slowly slid myself around the large box and came across the cold, damp wall. I slowly guided myself around the box cage until my back jabbed into something that jutted out from the wall. I retaliated and jumped back feeling pain slide up my body from where I was stabbed. I realized that it was a doorknob and quickly opened the door to come in contact with the warm sweet air of the night. I tightened my hand around my throat, and stared up at the moon, feelings it gaze penetrate me and send cold lashes down my skin.
“Why do I feel so cold?” I lifted one of my hands to my mouth and blew into it, feeling my breath against my hand. I caught the glimpse of my fingernails and stopped noticing that they were different; longer, my nails had grown stronger, fierce like. I turned my hand over and gawked at the once tiny, pudgy fingers of a thirteen year old, now long and full-sized that reminded me so much of Abella’s hands.
I lifted my hands to my hair feeling my shaking hands grope the locks of blonde curls. The curls slid through the palm of my hands growing thicker as I reached my shoulder blades. The curls stopped as they touched the tip of my breast and I gasped, as the once small nectarine size breasts were transformed into plump, over the top oranges. I shook my head in retaliation and scurried down the sidewalk towards the offering fountain and gazed deeply into the water at my reflection.
I saw the once perky, outgoing face of a thirteen year old no more. Now I stared back at a vengeful women, with piercing green eyes, that were cold and harsh. The structure now was powerful with deep meaning in its every curve. Full lips that gave off a even fiercer expression.
“What the hell as happened to me?” I spoke out loud as I eyed my reflection once more, feeling a sudden dark silence emit the air.
“You’re a parasite.” I turned myself around coming face to face with a stranger that held the same cruel expression on his face as the one I saw just moment ago
“Who are you?”
“ I am your savior. My name is Van.” I nodded my head in response and gave him a “I’m not following what you mean” look.
“You’re my savior. How are you my savior?”
“You better sit down for this.” I followed is instructions and sat down on the wall of the fountain, hearing the running water behind me cut through my senses.
“Will you please sit down as well.”
“Why?” He said with a slight mockery in his tone.
“ Don’t mock me. I would like it if you sat down and spoke to me. With you standing up, you frighten me. Now please sit down.”
I watched as he bowed before me and sat down next to me, shifting his gaze towards the fountain of water staring back at his own reflection. I admired his black spiked hair, his pale complexion, yet his eyes were the only thing about him that did not match his dark life. His eyes were bright green that were not fierce nor beautiful. They were the eyes of a man who held a passion for life, who loved to love, but also showed a father in the very middle of it all.
Then there was a darker ring around his eyes that showed out like a halo. The black ring showed that he lost everything in his life yet still his eyes showed a pure essence that he still cared about everything.
“What?” He said in a stout manner. I shook my head to stop myself from dazing and stared back into his eyes and shook it off of saying something.
“Its nothing. Please tell me on what I am.”
“That’s what I have been talking about until I realized you were dazing off into the black lagoon.” I felt my cheeks feel hot and rosy from the accusation and I turned away from him.
“I’m sorry. Please start from the beginning again.” I felt his hand crease around the side of my face and turn it to face his. His thumb grazed over my lip and I watched as he pulled his hand quickly and turned his gaze back into the fountain.
“you’re half a vampire, you feed off of both human and vampire blood
Chapter One
Past:
I was drawn to him to the point where the line of sanity crosses over into chaos and the walls of humanity plummet into the abyss of true darkness, where only the shadows of restless spirits lay and wait. I yearned for his flesh upon my own; ached with vicious envy for I was the only spirit he had not touched, caressed, and loved. My flesh must of been vile, and tainted by the touch of god. Born and raised into a high christianized family who’s generations of ancestors were devoted Christians. I was one of gods many children and for that I was shunned from his sight.
Chapter two
Present:
If it wasn’t for him I never would of understood the true meaning of hatred. The vivid memory of his passionate kisses danced wildly in my head, making my stomach twist. I shook the images out of my head and turned my gaze upright and into the dresser mirror at the reflection being shown. I grimaced at the pale faced, black charcoaled eye stranger staring back at me. The face ive grown into and molded to my ability. Some said that I had the looks of a goddess; they were wrong. When I looked into the mirror at my reflection I saw a horrid beast, one not fit to live. I have managed to see past what people think, watching humans die day in and day out as I stayed young and godlike with power at my fingertips. That was what it was like every time I feasted; power. I felt powerful as I held my victims close to my dead heart, feeling their lives dying before me and then when they died I simply dropped them, watching their porcelain faces shrink from my eyes as they hit the floor seeing the face I knew so well that haunted my dreams and played tricks with my eyes. The little girls face smiling up at me from the floor. Her golden curls draped around her angelic face showing her innocence pour out to me. I closed my eyes and drifted back to that horrid night where earth managed to stop breathing and the world around me shattered; the last day of my mortal life where the joys of love, life and happiness were cut up into a thousand rose buds. Only the memories of my past life were left to play, and unfold the parts of my sadness. I became cursed with the kiss of immortality. I thought back to his face, to his deep and dark innocence and it cut me with a smile thinking about him, just as he cut himself for me and let me drink his life force.
The sudden sound of my name coming from his lips shocked me at the time. I would of done anything back then to gain his attention, but I had his attention the whole time. A smile spread across my pale face and I stood up and stretched my arms over my head and yawned. I wore a black sweater over a pair of black striped pajama pants. I stopped stretching as a cold feeling spread across my back, its arms enclosed around my throat and my sense caught a stench of death approaching. After all these years of hunting me down, the pathogens were coming to tear my insides apart and hopefully plaster my head on the wall to show that the vampire who had taken their souls away has finally fallen to her death. The room grew silent, almost too silent and off in the distance I heard the clock in the kitchen strike eleven. The sudden sound of tapping against the window caught my attention and I looked to see that the rain had decided to fall; cold and hard with the unusual smell of fire that caught my senses off guard. I staggered to the window, almost tripping over the small red rug at the end of my bed as I hurried my pace to the window. I looked out and saw a house not far from my apartment aflame, under the massive rain. The flames licked the water up and kept burning, bringing my attention back to my memories.
Chapter three
Past:
I could hear the cries of the townspeople and smell the strong scent of cedar wood being filtered through the air from the remains of my house, burning away apart of my life that will be lost forever in its ashes. I escaped into the woods from my window, and kept running, trying to get away from the horrible smoke and the tainted images of my family being smothered. I could hear my heart beating through my temples and the ashes burned my eyes, and wrapped its fingers around the nape of my neck; suffocating me. I felt the branches reach out to me and grab a hold of me and rip at my beautiful blue laced dress, I ignored the branches and kept running till I saw a opening at the end.
The opening glowed to me like a opening into heaven and I took it willingly. I ran into the lights arms and came across the stone steps of the church and fell on my hands and knees, and pounded my fists into the stone steps with rage; losing my will to live. My long vibrant curls of fire clung to the tip of my breasts, and covered my tear streaked face. I pulled myself up onto my feet and stared into the eyes of Mary holding Jesus Christ; I knew my faith was gone. My tears left their bitter kisses upon my face as I admired the statue.
“We must all die one day…some sooner then others.” I said towards Mary, as I stared into her sad face, looking down at her son. “You died the day your son died, you lost your life as his hands were nailed to the cross and the pain seeped from his eyes, as did the blood from his wrists. I give my pity onto you in hopes you give your sorrow onto me.”
I stopped admiring the statue as I felt myself being watched. It was a cold feeling that swept over me in such a heated passion that I began to breathe heavily. It was his presence I felt drifting amongst the trees, watching me like prey. His aura smelled of lust and danger, a mixture that when mixed, turned to poison. I turned my head towards the trees and watched as a small gasp of wind flickered past the tree leaves. Silence emitted through the air and a chill ran up the spine of my back.
I turned my head in the other direction to see him standing under a newly bloomed dogwood. His arms folding over his chest as he leaned against the tree and stared at me with his black charcoaled eyes that reminded me of the eyes of a killer. I watched as the leaves from the dogwood formed a halo around his angelic body. I lifted myself up from my knees and stared back towards the dogwood, but he was no longer there.
I thought to myself that I was most likely imagining him before me, but he looked so real and I could almost smell his scent drifting in the wind. I shook the thought from my head and stared back at the statue of Mary before feeling the cold touch of him slide up the bare part of my back to the top of my shoulder blade. He slid his hand under the sleeve of my dress and pulled it away to reveal my shoulder blade, he kissed the bare skin on my shoulder and slowly slid his hands around my waist and turned me around to face him. I looked deep into his black expressionless gaze, feeling his eyes opening up to me like black holes. He slid his hand down the side of my cheek and kissed the salty tears away.
“You do not always have to be so strong Abella.” I felt my mind begin to weaken and my body felt weak and weightless. I fell into his arms and watched as the world around me began to swirl. My hands felt numb and lifeless. I felt darkness creep up to me and before I knew it I was asleep.
Chapter Four
Present:
I looked around the room towards the window and saw that the rain was now speckles of snow falling against the window. Its white flakes fell to earth in a soft peaceful notion, welcoming the winter season into its arms. I walked over towards the frost covered window and studied the view from up above. The world changed dramatically over the past four centuries, massive amounts of technology was being produced and put out on the market. I had never thought the future would hold such power, It was like the work of god was being played all over again. I grinned at the world below me, feeling their auras rush over me and fill me with intoxicating memories, desires, and pain. I tried not to keep in contact with the human world. It would only become a use and abuse method which wasn’t the right way to use someone. I only used humans for a meal ticket, nothing more then that could want me to obtain more then what I need.
I turned away from the window and sat down on the edge of my black silk lined bed and admired the drapes hanging from the top bed post reminding me of my last mortal night I had with him.
Chapter Five
Past:I awoke in complete darkness with the feeling of a thousand needles being stabbed into my body, I swallowed hard and wiped a bead of sweat dripping down the side of my forehead and pulled myself up weakly and tried to gain focus on the surroundings of the room. The windows were covered with draperies and a big fireplace was built into the wall next to the bed. I felt around the bed and felt my hand tug on something hanging form the bedpost next to me. Thin draperies were tied to the banisters of the bed. I let the drapery slide out of my hand and sway back into place and the hair on my neck began to stand up on end. I stopped breathing and listened for signs of movement or voices. I heard someone’s footsteps outside the room, the person sounded like they were pacing back and forth. The movements stopped and I heard someone's voice; his voice. i tried to replay what I heard, but all I heard was mumbling. I felt his presence just outside the door and I imagined what his face looked like as he was about ready to turn the door knob. I listened for the doorknob and sure enough he began to turn the knob of the door; the door cracked open and light shined through the room and his shadowed figure stepped inside.
"Did you sleep well?" He closed the door behind himself and i watched as he moved towards me and sat down next to me.
"What happened?" I said trying to remember the things before I blacked out. my mind was a blank empty space up above. I smiled to him. "Thank you for letting me sleep here.”
I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him gently, savoring every moment I had with him. I watched as he began to unbutton the corset of my ragged blue dress with his expert fingers, slowly unbuttoning each one while smiling up at me. He caressed my stomach and moved his fingers to my shoulder sleeves where he slowly slid them down till they touched the indent in my elbow. I wrapped my hand around his face and pulled him closer to myself and kissed him passionately, letting our tongues interlock and slide over one another.
He bit down hard onto my lip and I jerked back in retaliation, but he kissed me again, letting my blood form into his mouth as well as my own. I pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it to the floor and kissed him again, letting him lower me down on my back and admire my naked beauty. A wave of ecstasy filled with temptation flooded my mind as he moved his kisses to the inner parts of my thigh then tracing his way towards my stomach where he suckled on small amounts of flesh. i moaned and cried out in the rush of climax, feeling my body arch with anticipation. I pulled him closer to me, feeling his sex rub up to my sex, wanting him even more. I wrapped my legs around him and lifted myself into his arms and twisted my fingers through his thick head of black hair. I pulled his head back and stared into his black onyx gaze to see a rage of hunger dwelling deep inside. He pulled me off of him and pinned me to the bed and kissed my neck feverously, turning kisses to love bites. I felt his hand tighten around my throat while his other clung to my stomach and held me down. I screamed, feeling a sudden explosion of pain burst through my veins like poison as he took what he desired from me. I watched as the pain in my neck slowed when I stopped struggling and my eye began to become hazy and the ceiling began to dim to nothing. My blue eyes closed as my body became lifeless like a porcelain doll and everything slowly dimmed out into darkness.
I awoke feeling a excessive amount of pain in my throat, I slowly opened my eyes to a slit and waited for my eyes to focus on the surroundings. I sat up slowly with the bed sheet covering my naked body and the other hand holding my throat and saw him sitting in a chair next to me, waiting for me to wake up.
“Good morning beautiful.” he moves himself from the seat and comes closer to me; I move away from him and glare at him.
“What have you done to me?” I choked on the words, trying not to cry from pain seeping through my throat.
“I haven’t done anything to you, but if you allow me to give you a gift, I will give a gift that is the rarest of its kind. Immortality!” he said above a whisper as he seats himself on the bed. “ I could give you a new life Abella, not one filled with misery and anguish, but one filled with laughter and love. I want to sire you.” he pauses then begins to talk again. “I have never offered this to anyone else. Everyone else was different, but you are the flower of my eye.”
I thought to myself on being immortal and living forever and it didn’t seem like a bad idea, it seemed interesting and I was all about trying new things. I turned my gaze to him but he already knew what I was going to say. He smiled and lifted his hand to me.
“Walk with me Abella?” I placed my hand into his and pulled myself out of bed with the sheet still wrapped around my naked body. I turned my gaze to him.
“Yes, I will walk with you.” He bent his head down and wrapped me into his arms and kissed me then pulled away. I watched as he bit into his wrist and offered his wrist to me. I took the wrist willingly between my palms and drank it keeping my gaze on him as the warm blood, ran salty against my tongue. I drank more feeling seduction wrap its vines around me. My body screamed out for the blood; desired its taste.
I shoved his wrist away and dropped to the floor, feeling my body ache and shake all over, feeling my body slowly die off. The pain inside of my body began to fade away and I felt my body change and a new form began to take over. I stared up at the ceiling watching as my vision of the ceiling at a distance doubled and I could now see tiny dust particles floating in the air. I fell asleep immediately after the turning and slept without dreaming.
I sat myself up in bed and breathed in the air, smelling scents of lavender, flesh and wine. The smells put me into a trance and I longed to touch, and to taste…
“Blood…” the word curled on the back of my tongue as I said it.
I licked my lips and stared hungrily around the dark room at my surroundings. I felt a odd sensation floating through my body, I felt invincible. A scent caught my attention; vile, and angry. I saw the image of Sebastian cross through my mind. I pulled myself from bed and eased my way to the door, feeling the hunger in my stomach rise to the tip of my throat. I held it down and opened the door and looked out to see a empty house with bits and pieces of my sires aura left behind in his rush. I dropped to my hands and knees and wept for I was alone again.
"Sebastian, what did I do wrong?" The words cut the air and I felt a wave of fury rise through my veins, I held the fury in and dropped my body onto the carpet and hugged it while I wept.
The tears soon seeped dry and raw emotion of love and hate formed into its place. I pulled myself up feeling the strings to my body being entangled. I stopped and calmed myself before getting dressed. I followed his faint scent down the hallway, feeling the walls elapse around me and suffocate me.
I followed the scent of his tainted blood into a room with walls whiter then snow, and long red draperies that made the walls crawl with blood. The house was empty; it crawled with lost memories, known to Sebastian as home. I stared at the tainted red walls and smirked, seeing the truth of him; I saw the horrid beast who lured women into his arms, telling them of love and life and then ripping the warmth from their souls and leaving their corpses to rot in his honor. A sick man; a demon I see him now.
A smell rose up to my nose; placid and vile. I gasped and stepped back, clasping the palm of my hand to my nose. I turned my gaze downright to the bottom of a doorway, hearing small scarping noises coming from the other side. I slowly moved myself to the door and jerked the door open, to see horrid amount of rats scurrying out of the room, scrambling over the tips of my toes; looking for a way out.
I slowly made my way down the staircase; down into the belly of the beast, following the smell of rotted corpses and old perfume.
Chapter Six
Present:
The cup of warm blood simmered through my fingertips as I pulled myself back out of my phase of hurtful memories. I blew on the nectar and watched as ripples formed from the center to the side leaving a red tint. I watched intently as the heat emitted into the air from the cup and evaporated. I turned my head towards the frosted windows and looked back into my memories, watching pictures flash through my mind like dreams. The image of a women with the kiss of blood lining her lips stuck out at me, like a knife jutting into a human. Her eyes beated red with rage and her mouth was open to show her white fangs in the pale moonlight of the full moon. I closed my eyes and sighed. I placed the cup to my lips and poured the nectar into my throat and swallowed; feeling the blood rush through my dry veins and fill it with life. I pulled myself back to the day of my new life, to the day of hunger and pain bubbling at the surface.
Chapter Seven
Past:
The rancid smell of age and perfume tinted my senses, as I made my way slowly down stairwell picturing dozens of young women rotting with maggots eating away at the bits and pieces of flesh not yet decomposed. I felt weak; the pain in my stomach grew and blocked my vision temporarily, making me feel like a weak animal walking into the den defenseless. I stopped in the stairwell, smelling the scent of someone’s aura cling with the scent of the rotting flesh; a humans aura, not yet the age of thirteen who was wounded.
I closed my eyes and imagined the child with long blonde curls and bright blue eyes; the eyes of a child I had seen before, but could not place a name nor a face. The images of last night swam through my clouded memory I could taste the child’s blood through the air; the sweet smell of O positive. It swam through my veins and curled its fingers around the tip of my breasts, moving its way down the side of my curvy thighs and down the front of pale legs to the tip of my toes. I shrinked back against the wall and licked my lips with hunger; tasting the surge of thirst in the pit of my stomach rise up through my cold lifeless. I moved to the dungeon door and jerked it open with strength i knew nothing of. The door opened gracefully and then made a exit, crashing into the wall emitting a loud shriek through the stairwell. The rancid smell clawed at my body as I entered the room. I gasped and fell back against the edge of the door, seeing the corpses of once beautiful women, now bare and lifeless. Their mouths gaped open and their eyes; cold, dark and empty cried out to me through the wake. I was jerked back to reality by the cries of the hurt child with vivid images of emotion. The child seemed so close, yet so very far away. I moved myself deeper into the pit of the beast, crawling with dead emotions from the glossy eyes of her audience. I moved slowly across the room, hearing the sway of my dress against my ankles and the silent taping of my feet against the cold, wet floor. The cries pumped through my head and grew nearer and nearer, making my mind spin with the taste of her flesh. I moved into a open corridor; stopped and listened to the slow unsteady heartbeat thump a tune in my ears. The heartbeat seemed to just stop and a word elapsed through the cold air, a word that clasped a hold of my stomach and tied it into a knot; sister. I gasped and turned my head in the direction of her voice. Her face grew in the small hanging light form the ceiling, making her fragile body, look like cracked porcelain.
I studied her from her from her head to the bottom of her dirty feet, seeing her glossy blue eyes engulf me with curiosity. Her hair was dirty blonde curls that lay wet with sweat down the nape of her neck, touching the ruffles of her matted black dress. My eyes managed to unfold the remains of her; wanting her, desiring her blood through my body with such force that the thought of her made me rise with orgasm. I felt a sudden strike of tune pulse through my once human body, making the hairs on my body reach out to her.
“Sissy…I wanna go home!” The little girl cried, letting her hot tears roll down the deep cuts in her pale cheeks to the edge of her chin. Her fragile body stood amid the darkness; beads of sweat trailed down her soft cheeks, mixing in with the salty essence of her sorrow. I felt the Childs sorrow spill through the cold room and leave a mark upon me. I grasped for words to form from my mouth, but only a gasp managed to escape.
Before I knew it the child was in my arms; her warm skin brushing across my own. Her hair smelled of lilacs plucked on a warm summer day after the rain had fallen moments before. To me she had beauty written over her, and sorrow held in her tiny blue gaze. She had the eyes of someone; a vague image concealed the facts in my mind, but nothing was there.
I kissed the child gently upon her forehead and saw a smile slip the crease of her gentle lips. She looked up at me and tears began to well, but managed to stay shut out from the open air. I knelt down before her and grasped a hold of her tiny arms in my hands and stared up into her gentle blue gaze.
“ I know not of what you see in me, nor do I know your life.” I studied her gaze, studied her sudden change of emotions well from sadness to madness.
“Are you mad? How could you not know me, I am your sister!” She tucked her face into my shoulder and began bawling. I wrapped my arms around her back and comforted her.
“ I’m so sorry…” I kissed the nape of her neck, feeling her hot skin prickle. I couldn’t bare it any longer, I tightened my grip around her back, sliding my other hand up to the back of her throat. I listened as her heart began beating heavier and she began to squirm. I quickly pulled her blonde curls back away from her neck, and bit deep into her throat, hearing her screams gurgle then slowly stop. I wrapped my arms tighter around her and pulled her closer to me for a better bite feeling like a baby groping onto her mothers nipple, suckling the rich nectar from her warm breast.
I listened to her heartbeat slowly give way, her heartbeats tune suddenly faltered and she dropped into my arms and the cold feeling of death slowly seeped through her body. I pulled myself away from her and dropped her to the ground, feeling her nectar filling my pores and warming my skin. I felt like a newborn child all over again, feeling her past life swim over me. The images slowly flew from happiness to madness and a twisted image of me hugging her and holding her hand as we walked down a dirt road struck me. I gasped and fell back down on the floor and crawled backwards , hitting into a banister pole. I stared at her lifeless body and felt hot tears roll down my face. I clasped my hands around my face and hid my head into my knees and bawled, feeling my life breaking into two pieces.
“What have I done!” I pulled my eyes up from my knees and looked to where she laid but gasped when only the outline of blood marked her remains. I slowly pulled myself up and turned my gaze around the room in all different directions, but could not see her or smell her. I felt worry rise up my spine, thinking to myself that she had risen from the dead. A sudden cold chill ran up my spine and I slowly turned around to see her looking up at me. Her icy blue gaze eating away at the left over of my soul. I slowly moved back from her, looking for a way out trying to keep my gaze off of her. She looked like a ragged doll and walked like a goddess; tedious and mind breaking.
“ Abella, what’s wrong? Don’t you love me anymore?” her hands raised up towards me and she glided towards me with grace. I gasped and plummeted to the ground, feeling the cold floor beneath my bottom. I closed my eyes and wrapped my hands around my head.
“ your not real, your not real!!” I screamed out, hearing my voice trail off through the opening. I reopened my eyes to see that I was leaning up against the pole and her body was laying where she had fallen. I gasped and shook my head , managing to hold the tears back as it was all just a vision. I lifted myself up and knelt myself down beside her and kissed her on the cheek.
“ I’m sorry my dearest sister. I shall rot in hell for the things ive done. I know you may never forgive me, but know now that I am sorry.” I kissed her on the forehead once more, patting her golden curls between my fingers. I lifted her up into my arms and headed back up the dungeon steps, hearing her body slowly die off.
Chapter eight
To this day she still haunts my dreams night after night. Clawing her fingers up my spine, Working her way up to the embraces of my mind. I sometimes wonder when she’ll finally stab the knife into my heart and let me die. I still wonder what she would look like if she grew up, all the guys I would have to beat off of her. I shifted my gaze to the night sky, seeing the stars sparkle with joy high above without a care in the world.
“ I’m still sorry my love. If I could see you now, oh how I would fall to my knees and beg for forgiveness.” I pulled myself from the window and turned my gaze to the door, smelling a flock of men swarming up the flights of stairs, infested with infected pathogens.
“ I run now, I run for my life. Only god is my hero now, he cuts me when I do wrong and he reminds me of my sins.” I pulled my hair back into a bun, as I listened to their footsteps and their voices increasing through the stairwell; thumping a beat in my head I felt the hairs on my skin rise up as the pathogens seeped through the air like the bubonic plague. I quickly turned and ran back towards the window, hearing gunshots going off through the walls as I lunged through the open window and landed on the rooftop. I looked back once more, seeing the flock of men knocking the cedar door down, their auras attacked me with glowing red pathogens, making my senses weaken.
I watched as my home was being destroyed and my life was being ripped apart once more. I wiped my mind free of my home and began running again, feeling the sliding of leather against my skin as I lunged over the rooftop and landed on the next one. I turned my black gaze back to my home, watching the men make their way out onto the rooftop. I turned back around and kept running, feeling silver pellets swishing by me, missing me by only inches.
I jumped off the rooftop and almost landed on the next one when I felt a pellet cut into my thigh, knocking me off balance. I came into contact with the shingles on the rooftop, feeling them slice into my pale face. I reached out for something to grab onto, but my hands seemed to grab air and I watched as the building grew on me and the weight of the world collided with my body. I lifted myself back up, feeling the capsule charging through my body, letting poison seep through my veins.
I wiped the blood off of my face and kept running, hearing a horde of heartbeats strike a tune in my ear making it feel like the heartbeats were of my own. I clenched my teeth and closed my eyes as I wrapped my hand around my thigh and began dugging my fingers into my skin, searching for the capsule. I pulled the silver capsule out and dropped it to the ground, shifting my gaze down both roads; seeing nothing. I looked up to the rooftops and saw only the stars. I looked around for a exit, and saw a small door hidden in the darkness. I shifted my weight on my other leg and glided over to the door and tried opening it, but it wouldn’t budge. I looked back to the road, but nothing was there. I turned my gaze hurriedly back to the door and slammed the side of my body into it, seeing the door open up swiftly. I caught myself so I wouldn’t fall and quickly slid into the room and closed the door behind myself. I turned my gaze out the window of the old abandoned apartment and saw the squad of fighters. I quickly closed my eyes and slid down the side of the door as a ray of light showed through the window, inspecting the home. I reached for a table chair and propped it under the doorknob gently and slowly made my way through the apartment on all fours, gliding my injured leg along the way, smelling putrid blood emitting the air. I lifted myself back up when I saw that there were no windows and began looking for a exit. I heard the door being broken in half and men’s voices trailed through the room, I searched frantically but I found myself to be trapped. I slid myself into the shadows and waited.
The shadow of one of the soldiers creased across the floor and grew larger and larger as they entered the room. I waited until he was closer to me before I lunged out at him and ripped his throat out hearing gunfire begin to emit into the other room. I picked him up and used him as human shield, running at the soldiers with rage piercing through my eyes. I quickly removed the blade from the soldiers pocket and sliced into a soldiers throat that was charging at me, letting his blood wash across my face. I kicked the human in the face and reached out and sliced into another soldiers arm, before tossing my human shield away. I reached out for one of the soldiers guns and reloaded it, watching the serum glow in their tiny capsules.
“ I shall die from you one day.” I said staring at the red liquid as it bubbled inside its capsule. I edged myself to the side of the door and listened for the heartbeats of the soldiers, letting the blood in my mouth twist a orgasm up my spine. I closed my eyes and licked the edge of my lips, letting the blood sway across the ripples in my tongue and down my throat. I reopened my eyes and looked around the room at the bloodied corpses as a scent of living blood rose to my nostrils. I swerved my head back to the groan of a fallen soldier and slowly moved to his side and bent down to where his face was only inches from my own.
“ You think by killing me, you make this world equal. You pathetic Humans have nothing against me or my kind. We have reigned for centuries on the brink of extinction to have the so called higher beings known as humans put wrath upon us and yet, who have risen to the top?” I pulled the soldiers mask off and stared into his deep green gaze. He had the eyes of a teenager not yet the age of twenty, with fear and pain seeping out into the open.
“ Your…you’re a monster…”
“If I am a monster then what does that make you my dear child?” I watched as his heartbeat struck its last string and his eyes glossed over and he let his laugh breath into the world. “That makes you dead. You died young of the sins of the mortal man. Go into gods arms and ask for forgiveness.” I closed my eyes and kissed the child on the forehead, I reopened my eyes and saw my little sister staring up at me. Her pale skin rotting, her blue eyes hollowed out. I shook the image away and turned my head to the soldier.
“ Forgive me.” I sunk my fangs deep into his throat, feeling his blood course through my veins. I swam through each of his memories whether they were good or bad, tasting his life force greet me with open arms and let me in. His blood began to lose its taste, its once luscious taste of sugar soon turn cold with death, then it began to turn into dust on the tip of my tongue.
I jerked my lips away from his throat and wiped my mouth dry of him and looked around the room at the silence then back onto my beautiful corpse in my arms. I felt the wound on my leg begin to heal from the blood, letting a relief lift up through my veins. The mixture of holy water and blood from a priest who has stigmata gets combined together, making it lethal for vampires. I managed to find a cure that would be able to turn the tables on the mixture and make the capsule slowly die off from dead blood cells.
I slid the corpses head onto the ground and placed his mask over his placid face and headed towards the door and slowly slipped my head out of the opening to peek around the corner. I moved out of my hide out and onto the road feeling the dead blood start taking effect on me. I clenched my stomach and started walking, trying to get out of the abandoned alleyway and onto the road where I would easily blend in with the human population.
I made it out into the open, seeing large amounts of the human population walking about in their night wear. I kept my hand on my stomach and urged myself on, hoping to make it to the Black Rose housing estate before the dead blood ate away at my insides. Laughter, joy, sadness, madness. The streets were lined with every emotion you could think of.
I would watch each individual night after night as they would walk by, I starved myself of feeding so I would simply imagine how I would lure each human into my home and take what I needed, then set them free. I starved myself until the thirst got to me and I went off on a rampaging war on the humans, giving me the name of “monster.” The humans had tracked me down, year after year yet they could never find me. The only thing they would manage to find were the blood trails I left behind and the corpses of my prey. I did not like what I had become then, I do not like it now. I turned my gaze on a lovely couple kissing on a park bench, I licked my lips and kept walking feeling their life force hit me with such great amount of passion, that I felt that I was the girl the man was kissing, not that beautiful brunette sitting only inches from his knee.
I reunited my gaze with the ground and kept walking, hearing my combat boots click in rhythm with one another. I tried so hard to not show my face to any other vampire, I stayed away from vampire houses for centuries, and now I’m walking into their arms and they have no clue of it. The sudden shock of that through my head made me smile through the glimpse of pain, it made me feel good inside that I was actually walking into their arms, letting myself be known to them in person.
The cold smell of a vampire lifted me from my thoughts, the scent was strong and putrid that mixed in with the human nature like rotting flesh. It had a tangy taste to it, I turned my gaze up towards the end of the road to see the house glowing with lost souls. I picked up my pace and reached the entrance gate where two guards stood watch.
“ I need a place to stay.”
“ Show us your house mark.” One of the guards said, stepping towards me from the gate. He wore a black shirt over a black pair of pants and his gaze was malicious.
“ I do not have a mark. I do not belong to any clan. I am free bound.” I said staring deep into his eyes.
“Then I will not allow you in. You must wear the mark. That is the orders by Matthew Delray.” I watched as his arm moved out and pushed me.
"Don’t make me ask again.” I felt a rage of fury flash through my eyes and I clenched my teeth. I watched as the guard slowly backed away towards the gate with fear streaking his malicious gray eyes. “ Let me in right now!”
I watched as the guard turned his head to the other guard controlling the door and nodded his head in response. The gates opened up slowly, letting the creaking sound of old metal scrape against the ground. I slowly moved myself passed the guard and made my way up the stone steps of the courtyard to the front door. I opened the door and walked in seeing a horrid amount of vampires sitting in chairs, drinking blood and enjoying small talk. Each individual had a wild life force. Layers of red, gold, green and blue lased out at me and clung to me, eating away at my thoughts. I watched as the walls around me began to spin and dark colors of dresses and chairs swirled and combined with one another till black was the only thing it managed to come up with. I felt the weight of the world clash down upon me and I was falling from a cliff into the sea, waiting for my body to emit into the cold waves and darken into death.
I didn’t fall into the earth with the contact of my face, I managed to grow wings and fly off into the sun and disappear. I reopened my eyes for a instant, feeling the heat of the overhead lights glaring down at me from up above to see a face I would never forget, Sebastian’s face lashed out at me, the face who had haunted me for centuries. I felt the sea seep over me once more and I went unconscious.
I awoke, feeling the tangy taste of blood going down my lungs. I kept my eyes shut and suckled on the willing arm, feeling the blood spread through my veins and reach my most unexplainable desires. I pulled myself from my images and opened my eyes and saw his face staring down at me. I quickly shoved him off of me and swallowed the blood that was left in my mouth.
“A bit ferocious aren’t we? I am only trying to help.” Sebastian said as he pulled his shirt sleeve back down. I stared up into his eyes and glared but stopped, seeing that he did not share the same eyes that I remember so well.
“Your not Sebastian?” I pulled myself up and stared at his features, trying to remember Sebastian from this look alike.
“No my dear. I am Sebastian’s brother, Matthew. I assure you that I am nothing like my brother.”
“Your brother is a monster! A fouling, scheming monster.” I said glaring at him.
“ Ah, he’s not all that bad. Yes he does have a way with the women, and yes he is a heart breaker, but he’s no monster.” Matthew said as he stood up and slowly glided his fingers to my lips. I watched as he wiped his blood from my lip and licked it away from his fingertips.
“Yes, yes he is
