On occasion
I stop and wonder
Where exactly you have gone
You had sparked a flame, but
The fire once inside of me
Has dwindled;
It's dark now, done
The glowing embers left of you
Remind me of our past
The freezing water below me
Will take the pain at last
I know you would not want this
Were you still flesh and blood
But all that remains of you, my love
Is a maggot's rotting bed
You left me here alone
Waiting in agony to die
You said you would forever be here for me
Yet now I know, you lied
I once could handle the dull ache
The void that was my heart
But now it overwhelms me
And it pulls me into death's embrace
With one step, I plunge down
Into the swirling darkness
My breath is running out
I have now hit rock bottom
Even if I tried
Kicked and screamed back to the top
There is no chance I could find the way
To avoid my watery grave
On this occasion
I stopped to wonder
Where exactly you have gone
And now my fire has rekindled
By the fires of hell
And the sight of your face
We were suicides, after all

A single swing
Creaks forth and back
A lonely woman
Sits astride the seat
The cold, clear night
Embraces her soul
The bright, pure moonlight
Caresses her pale skin
A lone figure approaches
Tall, a dark shadow
The woman does not flinch
The figure comes closer
Stepping out from the trees
Washed in moonlight
Her lover, her protector
Comes forth
Wiping away her tears
Mending her heart
Taking away her pain
And enveloping her,
In his dark embrace,
Forever

Her luck has flown
On the wings of doves
Her lover is no more
Her sighs and tears have passed
And she is lonesome once more
Though the world is cruel
Love helped her to endure it
And now her coccoon is shattered
Leaving her forlorn, exposed
A lovely crystal goblet
Full of the finest whiskey
A single medicine bottle
Simply brimming with release
Together, they fell this angel
And send her into darkness
Yet in this sweet release
Angel and lover reunite forever
