The curse of depression,

tired and sullen.

Stares right through you,

and into oblivion.

It is hard to be happy,

when surrounded by frown.

And hard to get up,

when someone close brings you down.

Talking things out,

or spilling your guts,

usually helps,

and prevents from going nuts.

If there’s no one to listen,

grab paper and pen.

Write it down in detail,

and explain it again.

Read it back to yourself,

and hear what you say.

Now it’s out of your head,

and on paper to stay.

Tomorrow will find you,

be it better than worse,

and if you’ve been lucky,

you got rid of that curse.
