Experiencing loss is a part of living as many say, losing friends is a part of life, but never have experienced the loss of someone so close or as loved as Alyss. We spent many a day and many nights together, just talking, cuddling, and on occasion sleeping. We were more like brother and sister in a sense, and held no secrets from each other. I had seen her through many difficult times in her life as she had also for me. How could I have known three days prior would be the last time we would ever have the chance to speak? How was I to know Saturday night your heart would fail, how was I to know you would be given the drugs you were given? If I had known I would have stopped you from going to that party, I would have invited you over as you hinted you would rather have done. As I stood at your funeral, I did my best to hide my tears, as I always have. I stood in silence, listening for your small voice to tell me it was all a dream, but it never came. Now faced with the questions, what where your last moments, where you in pain, where you alone, and do you know how much you were loved and what I would give to have been there with you if even to hold your hand as you passed to the unknown. Know I will never forget you, nor what happened to you. I will always love you, and hope one day we can meet again and I can know you spent the days waiting in a better place than the world that hurt you so badly over the years.

Wow...so sorry ...my condolences...

You know everyday im afraid of death, & reading this is something to remind us that it can happen at anytime without warning...that scares me....im sorry about ur friend...=(

Thankyou for your kind words, Its been a hard week, for so many, but I know she would want us to remember all the cute fun times we had and not linger in sadness too long.
