The Leo cat is proud, clever, competitive, and vocal; imagine a show-cat type personality. This would be the cat that says, "Please, no pictures." This cat can hold a grudge and does not appreciate strangers in their home. Leo's are the king or queen of their castle. They like to perch on the highest thing they can find and them royally survey their domain. Leo cats are thought to have the prettiest and glossiest fur, and they seem to enjoy being groomed so they always look their best. Leos like to climb and leap; if they can have a miniature jungle, like a backyard garden, they are in heaven. However, a living room filled with furniture will also do quite nicely.This way they can keep in shape and show off their acrobatic skills as they leap from couch to table to TV stand to chair. Leos are great at tricks and are natural show offs. These are the cats that sit and ponder which is the best way to climb up those living room curtains or how to scale the highest bookshelf, so if you share your home with a lion-like Leo, keep that in mind! Cancerian cats are demonstrative and they take pleasure in expressing their affection for their human family. They enjoy being stroked, petted, and having a good scratch down the back. These cats enjoy physical contact and being carried around and spoken to.

The Gemini cat is curious, alert, very social, and really enjoys being spoken to; they demand attention! This cat is the perfect companion for the young at heart, and Gemini cats retain an air of kittenish behavior throughout their lives. Gemini cats are full of activity and fun loving. The Taurus cat is a laid-back, peaceful cat. They can be shy with strangers, but they adore kids. These kitties love naps and comfy spots; they are eager to please, love routine, and are very upset by change. Taurus cats are known for their mellow voice and are real homebodies. There is no cat as loyal or as generous with their affection as a content Taurus cat.The best way to a Taurus's cat's heart is through it's stomach. These are typically "full-bodied" cats and they have a hearty appetite, so careful moderation of the cat food is definitely in order. The Taurus cat ofter picks one favorite spot-probably your most comfortable chair-and curls up in it every chance they get. Good luck trying to reclaim the chair. And when the Taurus cat is happy, their purr is loud and lusty.

*laughs* My cat, Julius, absolutely hates kids, and prefers adults. And mellow voice? My cat is so vocal- each meow is different. He is the only cat I know that runs and meows at the same time.... all the time. Hearty appetite? Yep! And when Julius purrs, he sounds like a motorboat. Very well described.



I think cats are also affected by moon signs as well, like people are. Perhaps that is why my cat doesn't fall into this completely. It's a possiblity.

The Aries cat is the happiest being outside and has a dominant personality. These cats are risk takers, rebels,have lots of energy, and love a good mock fight. Aries cats are the best barn cats, Here, they can do their own thing and have a large territory to conquer and climb around in so they can work off all that excess energy. These kitties adore playing rough with their human companions. Aries cats are rumored to hate the vet and will enjoy trying to take a swipe at them. Both Toms and Queens are self-sufficient and adventurous. The male Aries cat will be quite the ladies' man and be out roving around quite often, while the female Aries cat is a born flirt, although the Queens will likely stick closer to home. these cats have a habit of playfully popping in and out of your life. Bottom line; they adore their freedom.



One of the strays we adopted is an orange Tom named Bob. He loves us dearly, but is not neutered as of yet. Spring time is mating season for cats, as it is warmer outside. As I type, I can't help but worry about the boy! I believe him to be an Aries cat!

I just got this new book called "The Enchanted Cat." It is written by Ellen Dugan. While thumbing through, I found a section called "Cat Zodiac Signs." Well, if you know me at all, you know how much I love cats. So, for all of you out there who share my passion for cats, I give you Cat Zodiac Signs. I will put them in my stories section, because it is an interest of mine!

The baby kitten died this morning. It had a cleft pallet, which I didn't realize. The poor thing wasn't able to nurse. I feel like it is my fault. My Son Jahred drove me to the vets, and the stupid car died before we got there. I ran the rest of the way. They did everything they could. I am a wreck. It's amazing how attached I become to my animals. I am so sad, I can't even put it into words. Crying doesn't help.

I was thinking I was going to have a slew of kittens, well....Believe it or not, the Mama only had one little baby kittie. Everyone is telling me I can't keep any, hell, it's only one. It's really cute, almost all black, a little white stripe on it's tummy, and little white toes! In all my days, I have never had a cat give birth to only one kitten. Needless to say, everyone here secretly loves the little thing, and I catch everyone talking to it when they think I'm not paying attention! So... I'm safe to say it will live here at the "cathouse." lol
