This past Monday I took a trip to Manhattan with my BFF Kim. We went there so Kim could adopt this great kitty, named Baby Girl, with one green eye and one blue, white with a light beige "saddle" on her back! She is a beauty, but not as cute as the 2 Orange Tabbys I adopted from Brooklyn!! (yes, I am partial)This pretty girl is absolutely perfect for Kim. She likes white kitties. Awhile back she had a male white cat with one blue eye and one green eye. His name was Baby Boy. When I was reposting Fridays Pets On Death Row Cats, I saw the white kitty named Baby Girl, how ironic, and called Kim. She bugged out! I was so happy she wanted Baby Girl! The trip was about 170 miles one way. I have a great car, so it made the trip really nice! It was a beautiful day, and an even better day to save a life!!! Thats what I do, reacue cats. Anyway, the trip was great! I was amazed at the highways, the George Washington Bridge, and this big brick tower! it was amazing! I did not like the tunnel that went under the ground. The trip back was nice too, we has a sweet cat with us! She was very friendly and rubbeed on our fingers. I think she knew she was safe with us, and out of the death shelter. Its a wonderful feeling to save a life! Once we got her to Kims house, she proceded to make herself right at home. Kim called me the next day and told me the kitty slept right next to her all night! And purred....awesome! If you ever decide to get a cat, please consider adopting. There are many cats that need homes. In one large city shelter, aproximately 15 to 20 cats are killed every day. Small shelter are 3 to 5. Now think of all the shelters.....it is so sad. People have to be more responsible and spay and neuter their pets. And when you get a pet, it's a commitment, just like any other family member. Love them and they will love you, unconditionally. Dogs are killed at the same rate, so if you like dogs better, please adopt! Its a wonderful feeling to save a cat or dog! They will be your best friend! Honest!
