Obviously, some of you have read the poem, "The Bull Calf."This is the fate of many calves, male or female. I can't understand how any one could consume a baby that has never even seen or felt it's Mother close, had a taste of her warm milk, or felt her loving touch of her tongue upon it's little wet body. (They are wet just like a human baby after they are born.) I haven't received any comments, and wonder how many of you have any emotions...about this subject. Can you imagine having a life like that, and then be slaughtered with a mallet, not understanding why this is happening to you...????? I don't understand why humans eat these poor creatures, and have personally banned the practice of eating veal. No one in my family eats it. These creatures are raised in a pen, no room to move, fed only milk, and thir little bones get no nourishment to support their weight. The bones crumble, causing the poor baby pain and suffering. They never feel love of any kind.
If you eat veal, you should do some research. If you are one of the freaks who "drinks" blood, I pity you. I cannot stand a person who eats flesh without any consideration.
Think before you eat!!!!!
And if you don't like what I have to say, oh fucking well...

This has got to be the best thing I've read on this site. I do get very emotional when people disregard the truth and say things like " I dont give a fuck about some stupid cow ". I am absolutely glad I went vegan 2 years ago, I've never regretted it.

actually I had read that they were fed an oatmeal milk mix to fatten them up and make the meat more tender. they never have any liquid to drink if they are thirsty. they live their short lives in that little box in their own filth as well. It's worse then how chickens used to be raised. My family doesn't eat veal either by the way.

You may or may not have heard this from anyone else, but I completely agree with you. I've come to a point where it's hard for me to look someone in the eye who eats veal, especially those who know what it is. I support you.
