The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

'Tis the season for my favorite shows. First it starts with True Blood, which has been awesome. Then Sons of Anarchy, then the Walking Dead and some FOOTBALL!

I'm currently off of work due to a surgery, and now I think I have a wisdom tooth acting up. Ugh!

To start, I'm going to let you know what's going on in my life. I'm currently off of work due to a surgery, so I'm taking pain meds as needed, and unfortunately, I took one the night before. So, I'm pretty groggy when I awaken to a cat nibbling on my fingers. I shake the cat off and bury my hand under the pillow. She attacks the pillow, I wave her off again. Moving my hand, I awaken to her nibbling on my finger again. So, we go back and forth. I'm too tired, I don't want to get up, so I lay there while she's trying to play. Finally I roll over to get up to find her butt in my face. Damn cat.



Crawling over her, I climb out of bed, still groggy. The cat chases me and proceeds to race around my feet. Thankfully due to MY catlike reflexes, I manage to avoid stepping all over, but barely. In the meantime, she's meowing the whole time.



I finally stumble past her, go into the bathroom, where she decides she's going to race me to the bathroom. Fine. I'm too damn tired to chase her out of the bathroom. After doing what I need to do, I go to wash my hands in the sink and she's at my feet again. Ok, Kiki!



She stretches, her claws gripping onto the top of the cabinet door and proceeds to open, walking back with it. I'm standing here, watching her walk backwards and open the door to its full capability. I'm almost in tears, laughing at her now. She looks just as surprised as I, but she decides to leave it wide open while I bang my knee on it and she attacks my feet some more.



Well, I go back into the bedroom, shutting the cabinet door before she climbs in the cabinet and I forget she's in there. That's happened before. I've already put on my shorts, and there's a string hanging on it while I continue to dress next to the bed. She decides to jump on the bed and play with the string while I put my shirt on.



Silly cat won't leave me alone all morning. She woke up in a feisty mood. Why couldn't she have picked on our other cat, Persaus? Why me?

Ok, I'm still fairly new to Vampire Rave and have only been on here about 2 weeks tops. Already I've managed to get kicked out of a mentorship, of which I have no clue how? Guess maybe I should read up more on the requirements and guidelines and am receiving penalties on having friends. Hmm, not sure what I did their either. I've barely been on here the 2 weeks I have been on here. Can anybody tell me what I did or maybe didn't do? Please clue me in.



Or can maybe somebody fill me in on the guidelines for mentorships and friends. I imagine I could probably just browse the site more and find out what I need.



Any suggestions or comments, please let me know? I'm in the dark on this one! How ironic.

Yep - most mentorships aren't about teaching the members anything. They're more about the mentor feeling popular.



A mentor should never kick out a member unless the member is causing serious issues - mentorships are there for the members, not the other way around.



You need to be on a minimum amount of friends lists for the bonus. It's not a big deal and the negative can easily be outweighed by the mentorship and society bonuses. Eventually you will be on enough friends lists.

I hear ya! I also have no idea why one gets points deducted for making friends. Have found no reference to this in the study material (so far).

Thank you all for your comments. Roser, yes, I would like to get in one, learning preferrably, but score would also be nice. Unfortunately, I can't get on here as much as I'd like right now. I'm working long hours and trying to meet deadlines at work, so it's been a little difficult. And, next week, I'm having surgery and will be out of work for a little while. Ugh! Life! Ugh!



I've noticed popularity is a big thing with some people, unfortunately.

mentorships are of a great variety of ideas and opinions, some go for the score some for the popularity some for limited access, some are simply there to listen when needed or to give a hand to find an info... many sorts for many people

Yeah, I think you're right. Many different kinds for many different people. I guess it's just a matter of finding the one I want to join. Though I will say, I've been talking to one lady who said she would mention it to her Coven.

It's been great so far! I'm loving it! There's a few new faces and some exciting new twists. You should be able to watch them on hbogo.com. They've been advertising that you can watch the shows on there.
