Waking up one morning,

I noticed a change in myself.

I did not feel nauseated

Nor did I feel obese.



Looking down, I observed a new life,

One that would grow inside of me,

Within nine months, I had changed,

I became a responsible human being and

I was more in control of my life,

For I was to become a mother.



My child is due in one month,

For that child, I have sacrificed my life,

Then I will sleep and endure the fluffy softness of the clouds,

And when the light comes, I will follow my rainbow,

And at the end will be the cool sheets upon my baby skin.
