Morning breeze calm and quiet. I rise to my feet from the bed. I'm still in the Trailer, but for some reason half of my stuff is gone. I go into the kitchen and see a note on the table: Took another load to the new house be back in a few hours, Mom. I guess we finally got a house. I walk back to my room and check my calender on the computer. June 15, I see a highlight on June 8, I click on it. Details read: Joanna and Starr arrived. So they have been here for a week now. My phone rings, It's Joanna. "Morning love, what's up?" I ask. "Morning baby, are you still up for going with me and Starr to lettuce lake?" I smile. "A day with my girls? Of course I'm up for that. You want me to drive there or what's the plan on that?" Joanna giggles and replies "I'm driving punk! hehe. I'll be there in an hour. Love you baby!" "Love you too babe!" I hang up the phone. Without wasting a minute I jump in the shower and get all cleaned up. Once dressed, I head out to my truck, It's black! I finally had the time to paint it looks like. 20 min. pass by and Joanna pulls up in her Neon. I hop in, She leans over and gives me a kiss. "hey you!" she smiles. I look to the back seat. "Morning Starr" I wave to her. Starr smiles and waves back. Joanna drives us to Lettuce lake. We make our way to the boardwalk. Mother nature, you gotta love it. Joanna and I walking hand in hand. Starr skipping along in front. "Are you having fun Starr?" Joanna asks. "yeah, It would be better if I could see over the railing." Without saying a word I lift Starr up onto my shoulders. "can you see now?" She chuckles. "yes thank you" The smile on Joanna's face just keeps getting brighter. Hours pass and it's time to get lunch. We go to Steak N' Shake. Get our food and just have a good time. Waiter brings the Check. I go and open my wallet. My heart jumps in my throat. I only have a 5. I realize it's still the dead part of the year for the shop. I feel lower than low. Joanna says "give me that!" and snatches the check from my hand. "I got this baby." She says. After that we drive back to her place and walk to the park down the road. Starr goes and plays on the swings while Joanna and I sit on the bench. She rests her head on my shoulder. She notices I'm upset, "what's wrong baby" she asks. "I hate being broke, I promised you I'd help out when you came down. Not having cash most of the time was one of the reasons why Kell left me too." Joanna kisses me and says "you are worth all the money in the world to me" I feel so much better after that. An hour later we walk back home. Play some video games until about 3. Joanna gets up. "well, I'd better start dinner. "I'll help" I say following right behind her. We cook up some kick ass Chicken Parmesan. After dinner we all went for an after dinner walk. We all came back at 10. It was time to tuck Starr in for bed, she was beat. I decided to give it a try. Tucking her into bed she says "I'm glad you came along, mom is so much happier now." I tell her, "well, she has you to thank for that." She looks at me curious. "how?" I tell her "Well you are the shooting Starr your mom and I both wished upon that brought us together." She smiles. "alright, sleep time. Good night Shooting Starr." I kiss her on the forehead. She slips away to sleep. I turn around to see Joanna in the doorway with a tear in her eye. We walk to her room and cuddle for a bit. until it turns into... Well, let's just say a really good night.

I awoken to find myself in the shop at school. I was wondering why I was there. I look at the calender on the wall. It was the day of my graduation, one of my darkest memories that torched my soul for I was with Kelly at the time. I guess the powers that be decided to give me a chance to change this memory. First thing on my mind was Joanna. She never got to graduate or go to prom, I'm gonna change that. I don't know how but I stopped time, all I had to do was think about it. I opened a portal to jump up north. I didn't know he address but I still knew where to go. I looked to the front door and noticed that J was there. I had stopped time a little soon. I hid and unfroze it all, waited for him to leave. I had my chance, I made my way to the door and sneak in. I found Joanna cleaning as usual. I sneak up behind her and put my arms around her. At first she is startled, Then she feels the warmth of my energy that she loves so much and melts in my arms. "Torque, you were right, the feeling from afar is nothing compared to this" . I ask her if she wants a chance to change a memory. She looks at me puzzled. "I have a lot of memories I don't want" She says with sadness. "Well today I can give you a graduation and a prom if you're game?" She looked at me with a smile and asked "how are you going to do that?" I wave my wrist and open a portal. "let's go" I say before she follows me through. back in the shop at Armwood. She follows me to the front of the school. I tell her to stand back. I place my hand towards the school and chant. " Powers that be grant unto me. A gift that lasts eternity. Break the ground and twist time. Make this new memory hers and mine" The sky goes pitch black. The school shakes and changes form. I turn to see Joanna's chest glow where her oracle would be. She changes too but very little to even notice. We get to my house and waiting there is her dress and my... well, my outfit. She gets dressed in the the bathroom. While in there she gasps in delight. I stand in the living room waiting for her already in my tux. She comes out practically glowing. She looked breathtaking. "What was the gasp for, dare I ask?" She smiles more and says " I'm 17 again, I can feel it" "Let's go then" We walk out to my car pretty much attached to each other. I drive us to the prom. We danced until the music stopped. Lost in each others eyes. That's one memory down. One more to go. Graduation was on the football field at midnight. 11:00 we drive back. I can't find the cap and gowns anywhere though. Suddenly it hits me. I snap my finger and we become clothed in them. We make our way to the field. The time comes for Joanna to walk across the stage. The principle announces: Joann Bacon. Joanna makes her way to the stage. The principle hands her her diploma, pictures are taken. But all she sees is me. Tears of happiness in her eyes. A few people later it's my turn. I've done it before though, this was all for her. The night is over, The school goes back to normal. But Joanna doesn't change back. Puzzled I wonder why. She just looks at me and says " You washed away 20 years of hurt. I am 37 again, just not as torn, however I love you even more now!" Sadly I realize it's time for her to go back. If she stays it will disrupt a lot of things. I reopen the portal she gives me a slow passionate kiss before going through. "I'll see you in a couple of months I hope" I ask. "Yes you will, I promise you." She walks through the portal and I close it slowly. I got my powers back, but on one condition, I can never use them for personal gain ever again. I'm fine with that. As long as I can use them for her. My everything!

I drove to her place the day before All hallows Eve. I asked her what she wanted to do for the day. Looks like we were off to get some school supplies for the kids. She drives us where we need to go, I massage her neck. She has taken to driving a manual trans quite well. Walking through the store, getting binders and pencils. The whole time I see a smile on Joanna's face. I keep forgetting how happy I make her, since I don't have to try it slips my mind. We got everything we needed, made our way to the car. A few tuners parked beside it. Some guys siting on the hood of one of the tuners, "hey gurl" one shouted out our way. "mama cite" The comments just kept coming. One jumped off the hood. "hey gurl, how'd you lyk to chill with a real man?" he asked. "I'm good" she replied, I looked at her and smiled. "so what kind of ride is this? looks like a tank to me. you drive a tank holmes?" Before I could say a word Joanna says "My baby drives a Fleetline, this Chey coupe is mine." I laugh a little and put the school supplies in the trunk. He hops in his tuner and starts it, begins revving the engine. I can hear his rev limiter taching out. I walk over and hold the door for her. She gives me a kiss and a defiant look. I know exactly what she is going to do. I get in on my side, sit back and enjoy the show. She starts up the engine and revs it once. flames shoot across the sides of the car. The tuners engine stalls from the 350 in our ride. We both laugh a little as she drives us home. I bring everything in the house. She tells me to put them on the table and come with her to her room. She locks the door behind us. Enough said.
