He started the car and turned on the lights hesitently, taking just a second to wipe the tears of regret from his eyes before backing out of the driveway. In the heat of the moment Jake had made so mandy mistakes, this time he couldn't take them back. This one, as hard as it was would change his life now and there was no way out of it.

"I don't know what we were thinking," Jake thought. " what am i going to do now?"

His train of thought was interupted by the screams of his girlfriend coming from the back seat. his sweaty hands clenched the stearing wheel tighter and he sped up.

"just keep breathing" he repeated to himself, hoping for somekind of calm that neer came. Finally he saw the sign, "Carol Johnson memorial hospital". Jake pulled into the parkinglot and ran inside.

Hours later Jake sat in the waiting room. he had been pacing nervously for hours now and he just didn't know what to expect. A doctor came in and nodded to Jake to come, with the 1st step his knee's nearly gave out. "how will this turn out?" his mind wandered, wiping the remainder of his tears from his eyes before entering Mandy's room.

There she laid, Mandy, his girlfriend, the one who had scared him so tonight. In her arms, a beautiful baby boy! Jake's eyes overflowed with tears again.

"Maybe this wasn't a mistake" he thought to himself.
